WHY do people buy the WII ?, WII next gen ? think again!

 The thing i keep seeing here in SW is that when Sheep are in a bad position the excuse is this " The Wii is in a different category and is not competing with the 360 or PS3!" later i hear them praising the Wii "the 360 stopped selling, PS3 is a flop and we managed to outsell every console" the Wii is doing well great for Sheep but whats with these excuses ?

and another thing is the Wii next gen in my opinion it really isnt. Nintendo came up with the wiimote which is something creative. but the graphics! this is the whole thing of the gaming industry to make things as real as possible! not bring back ps2 graphics and put a 250 price tag and start selling. And what do you guys think the main reason the Wii sold so much ?

Do you think hardcore gamers would actualy buy it well some did. but the majority of the 5.5 Wii sold were sold to Kids and families that dont really want to spend 600$ or 400$ on a console for his 10 year old son/daughter.

BTW Wii is current-gen. Same for PS3 and 360. So get used to it.

first of all i didnt say all people who buy the wii are kids and i mentioned that there are hardcore gamers who bought the Wii and i am not trying to offend any person directly or indirectly! its system wars and people just say opinions to prove their side and thnx

I have had quadruple the fun playing the Wii for 3 weeks than I had with the PS3 I use to own for 2 and half months.Jin_the_samurai

There are different reasons why Nintendo decided not dramatically evolved the Wii as a PS3/360 powerhouse.

1. There isn't enough room for three powerhouse consoles
2. We will have endless Multiplat games
3. Game Developers and publishers will have money issues (see reason 2)
4. The Wiimote is a unique interface that promises new gameplay experience
5. Casuals and Non-gamers can expand the game market 100x

Well that's how much I can think of. But there's more.

Sure he does, I'm 20 yrs old and I own an Xbox360 and a Wii plus four of my friends who are in college couldn't afford a high powered console so they bought a Wii instead.
