PEOPLE BUY A VIDEO GAME CONSOLE TO PLAY VIDEO GAMES. ITS IRRELEVENT IF ALL OF THEM ARE MULTIPLAT! NOT EVERYBODY NEEDS WIFI! THE PEOPLE WHO BUY A 360 BUY IT BECAUSE THEY LIKE GAMES, NOT BRAND LOYALTY.

Seriously, if this isn't clear to you, I do not know why you even bother posting the thread besides trying to upset console owners. Listing every possible form of the 360 is a huge sign of desperation.

And for the record, people don't support Microsoft, they merely want the best gaming experience for the price. It's not like everybody is going "I LOVE THE 360 SO IM GOING TO BUY the 720 WHEN IT COMES OUT!"

As for the hard-drives, they are indeed a rip-off. A 20 gig goes into the $100 price range. Personally, I see no need to upgrade the harddrive, but if you need to do it with the 360, you're basically screwed.

The 95% is made-up. The wireless adapter should not be $100. Regardless of which may be better, the price is still ridiculous. As for the online, you're still paying for it. The 360 is the only system on the market that charges you to play online.

Oh, and there is actually an Xbox 360 Arcade SKU; he wasn't referring to the online store.

I'm really liking this thread. The OP speaks a lot of truth.

As far as companines go Microsoft is easily at the bottom with Nintendo and Sony at the top.

You can easily pinpoint flaws with all companies. But at least Microsoft generally uses its money to provide an excellent online service, games with stunning production values and to secure exclusives for its fans. Nintendo sits on a pile of cash and still hasn't used it to make a great online service, make great games with standard production values like orchestrated music and other presentational enhancements (the exception being Galaxy and that's only one game) and doesn't pay to secure exclusives. Microsoft is losing money to try and enhance gaming experiences, Nintendo is making a ton of money and generally doesn't even spend it for the benefit of its Wii players.

Sony are trying to use PS3 as a Trojan Horse for Blu Ray. Nuff said.
