Why do people here take gaming so seriously?

Like, as gamers, shouldn't you guys be like playing the games that you love so much? Why would you come here and actually complain, and WHINE, and ARGUE about what the companies should be worrying about? I use this site as a way to ask for help in games, and talk about the games that I love, and I honestly can't see why anyone would fight over gaming, things like sales, graphics, gameplay, scores, reviews, companies, etc. What's the point in arguing over that stuff? What are you guys trying to change? If you don't like a game, don't buy it, if you can't afford the game, don't buy it, if you want to see if the game is right for you, then come and ask, there's really no point in arguing. None of us even KNOW eachother, we all have different opinions, and different preferences, you don't have to fight with someone who doesn't believe the same thing as you, that's just elementary and trashy. So why do you guys do it?:question:

We're all just having fun arguments. (Atleast I hope most of us) lol At the end of the day we all play games no matter what system he/she prefers, were all gamers.

I really enjoy SW and GS forums and most of the posters, but after work I do things, like you know gaming and other stuff. I work 9 hrs a day, of which I'm surfing while doing things at work for a large part of it. I think thats enough surfing for a day no?

man i usually discuss with 360 fanboys ts so funny they get mad when i say that 360 is worse then ps3 n it has worse graphics ..... and some peoples discuss n complain etcabecause they really like gaming we should not criticize them lts like who loves socer they discuss and they lie about a wondrful goal or a player that is in other them they may not like it etc membership1

Because sometimes its fun to debate/argue but not always appropriate to start debates/arguments in everyday life.

Whining about games is better than whining about people that are whining about games.

^ That's basically all it is.

Heck, I still play my PS2 and old Xbox more than I would a PS3 and 360 if I had em. I'm not afraid to admit it.
