Why do people make the 360 having great shooters out as a bad thing?

I've really never understood this. People will quite literally bash the 360 for essentially having Gears and Halo. Now obviously if these were the only good games on the console that'd be an understandable situation (like the xbox 1 pretty much) but it isn't. The 360 has tons of variety.

What were the best exclusive 360 games last year? probably something like Gears, Banjo, Lost Odyssey, Tales, Ninja Gaiden, and Fable 2. Pretty varietiful.

Don't we realize that the 360 just has a lot of games from every genre? Thinking about it, what genre doesn't it have the best games in?

Shooters, yes (essentially halo and gears vs resistance and killzone)

Fighters, yes (it has everything the same + doa)

RPGs, obviously

RTSs... yea, but it's not worth mentioning

Platformers- tied (kameo and banjo vs. lbp and ratchet)

Action Games- Ps3? (?)

I hear about how variety is an issue mainly from sheep, but Wii showelware shows that variety is useless if the variety is awful.ChrisSpartan117

Shooters I would consider close but 360 still has the edge until I get to play Killzone 2. But platformers the PS3 is way ahead. I actually bought the 360 at launch and Kameo was my game of choice and it looked beautiful but got very boaring, LBP and Ratchet are much better than that while I have not played Banjo though. The whole thing is the 360 is swamped with shooters and alot are generic.wooooode

Funny, I own 41 xbox 360 games... 6 of them are shooters(Gear1, Gears2, Dead Space, Perfect Dark, Fallout 3, Orange Box), 16 are RPGs, and the rest is a mix...To me, the xbox 360 is known for its RPGs, I barely pay attention to shooters. That isn't including any XBLA titles I might have.
