Why do people support Sony?

This is not flame bait just want to hear people opinions on why they support Sony.

First my opinion. I never supported sony because I don't like their lying ways. however I decided to buy a playstation system this gen.I missed out on way to many rpgs last gen and it hurts. The only problem is the price I will have to wait until the price goes down. Sony is actually a great publisher because I can only say basically all of the new IP's and most innovative games last gen came from them. I never experienced any of those games I hated the playstation for destroying sega. Obviously it is not Sony fault, but i blame them anyway. So I am going to join the playstation universe when the system price goes down. I can't wait to play games like ico, SOTC, okami, and hopefully God of War 3.

I'll enjoy my 360 until then.

Because they release a system they like.. us rpgers will never let sony go...

I dont understand why people support ms... i dont want to give bill gates a dollar more than i have to already to run 90% of the programs on pc's.

I love Sony because I was brought on Sony. Simply, I think they make good products. Except for the stereo in my car, every electronics I have is made by Sony. I believe in loyalty too. It's what makes a good person better.shungokustasu

um I don't feel anything. That is because you spend your time in the forums. How about those who believe games will look like that on the PS 3 that do not spend time in the forum. Heck there are people in the forum who believe killzone will look like the trailer. Obviously your an inform gamer and I can assume didn't fall for the hype. However I can't see why anybody would want a PS 3 right now. What games warrant it purchase right now. I bought the 360 because it had PD0, Kameo, Condemn, and DOA4 within its launch window. Besides resistance why should someone fork over $600 to play the same multiplat games until good exclusive games come out. I'm not saying you should of bought a 360, but why not wait until there are more worthwhile games to play that you can only get on that system.

Because they make amazing games like Resistance, which is currently better than any game released on the Xbox 360.-Ramirez-

this gen i only gonna buy a PS3

PlayStation - 106,49 millions
N64 - 32,93 millions
Sega Saturn - 10 millions

* 6 gen - PS2 vs 3
PlayStation 2 - 115,36 millions
Xbox - 24 millions
GameCube - 21,52 millions
Dreamcast - 10,6 millions

* 7 gen - PS3 vs 1
wii is on a diferent market, not vs PS3 or X360, so time, really, you think PS3 is gonna lose? double check those numbers

That's not the case at all. When people bash the 360, they bash the machine itself. But When people bash the PS3, they (usually) bash Sony for their fake promises, lies....

There systems have in the past had some of the best support I've seen on consoles. Very few of my libraries for other consoles have touched that of Sony's PS products. Realize that I'm not really supporting Sony, but more supporting their support.

To be honest I don't know how someone could pass up on either the PSX or PS2 in the past, or how a gamer couldn't be interested in many of the greatest games during those times? Oh well to each his/her own I guess.

I can agree xbox was killed off, but if microsoft wanted to win the next gen they had to do it. I mean even nintendo killed off the gamecube, and they are doing better this gen too. PS 3 is hurting because of the success of the PS 2. You should still consider a 360 because it actually more diverse then I expected it to be. Xbox was a terrible when it comes to diversity. The 360 remedy that early on and they even said they are not going to be in a rush to go into next gen again.

No that is not the truth I buy a gaming console for games not the format it uses. You bought the PS 3 as a cheap Blu-ray player, understandable. I not going to decide what format I use until one becomes standard. Obviously you would have bought a PS 3 if there were no games at launch because you looked at it as a cheap blu-ray player. I never said you was wrong for your purchase just didn't understand why someone would buy it now when there aren't a lot of quality games atm to buy it. You say blu-ray so I understand.

Sony's a corp. like any other who primary goal is to make money. I mean it pisses me off that they killed off one of the best, if not the best, localization company (read: Working Designs), but thats not going to stop me from playing awesome/great/good games. Simply put I'm a gamer, I care about the games, anything else I can swallow my pride (or whatever you would like to call it).

Have you seen the charity work Bill Gates & wife are doing...... when was the last time Sony put time, effort & money into charity.... Bill Gates has also gone on record that the majority of his funds will go to charity when he passes.

All the MS / BIll Gates haters are just jealous they arent filthy stinking rich, too.
