Why do people think Killzone 2 looks bad?

Killzone 2 doesnt look bad....its just doesnt look all that great to gamers who have been playing great FPS for years (PC, 360 owners). For the Sony fans the Playstation was a magnet for mediocre titles in this genre (bad ports or just plain lousy games). For those gamers KZ2 may seem like a breath of fresh air following the success of Resistance, but to the rest of the gaming world its just another generic shooter.

So while its good that the Sony camp may have another good game to play on their system, they need to come to the conclusion that this game is not the next thing since sliced bread for FPS games and shouldnt be hyped to the extent its being hyped...

Im talking about the game as a whole, not just graphics. It doesnt do anything special except impress Sony fans. PC and 360 gamers have been exposed to games like this for years, but since the Sony clan can finally get on the FPS bandwagon (the genre was once overrated to them because they didnt have any decent titles) they feel KZ2 is not getting the credit they feel it deserves..

It doesn't look bad. It looks good.

My only gripe with it is that it looks very bland and colorless. I enjoy good graphics. But I enjoy color and a good artstyle more.

Have you ever seen an environment ravaged by war? It is not colorful, at all.do you think an enviroment blown to hell should have daisy's, rose bushes and rainbows everywhere? Killzone 2 looks like a war is going on. The color palette and art styleare perfect for the setting. Besides, how much sense would it make for soldiers to be wearing bright colors?

Maybe they had it so the AI doesnt do anything...I remember some GOW videos on the game where Jaffe was controlling everything, I mean you cant judge something crucial like AI off the first real video of the game.

how do you know anything about the ai from a video? and the clips of people being shot and gunfights are so short that its hard to tell where things are goin in them anyway. and how do you know anything about the depth of the game for that matter?

During the demo for viewing, diffuculty was on easy. When people got to play it they put it on hard, and most couldn't beat the miniboss flame guy.

It was in the middle of a thunder storm usally everything is Gray in a thunder storm.

LOL your not kidding anybody...I have played bioshock it does not look as good as killzone 2 or crysis.

Final Doom is the hardest game I have ever played. but that doesn't mean it had good AI. But we cannot know until the product comes out.

on a technical level im sure this game will be something else. the devs pulled off amazing things on the PS2 and im sure theyll do the same with the PS3. hopefully they also sort out the content so that game is alot better than KZ1 to play though.

my only complaint is that the game is very....grey (from the few vids ive seen anyway). hopefully the end product has more colours besides grey, black and brown.

Never complain about AI in a demo of a game, every game demo is always demonstrated on easy so they can show you the game and not worry about dying. Why is that people are so stupid when it comes to this very obvious observation.
