why do ppl support the wii?

Wii makes a great secondary console. But of course, 360 or PS3 make the best primary consoles.

Plus the Wii is cheap and has some great games so it's fun.

That is in no way the reason it can't be since they stink. I have to say its because non gamers are making up the majority of its consumer base. I cannot imagine many gamers truly being happy with a Wii, I hated mine!

So, with Wii, you get fun games... ok... I agree. But with PS3, 360, or PC, you get fun games, and much, much, more.

Noone is stuffing an opinion down your throat expect the Nintendo fans that would have you believe that games are more fun because that have a Mario, Zelda, or other random Nintendo franchise character in the title.

Erm while it's the best interest of Nintendo to make money, there are alot of casual games that are not made by them. To say that's their fault is like blaming Sony for making the PS2 so casualized. Heck Sony started the damn casual thing on their playstation. As for known franchises, the most popular games on other consoles are franchises (i.e MGS4, Halo 3, GTA4). As for "legitimate pass-time for adults", I'm sorry you feel gaming is not "legitimate", I'm also sorry I don't give a rat's ass what society thinks of gaming. I just don't understand it's just a gamecude with a diff controller they have given us the same great games. But besides that nothing sure glaxy,zelda etc. but after you beat those games there nothing to do (and it dosen't take longer than a week)

The online is terrible most games don't even have online and yes ssbb dose but it's horrible also no voice chat and friend codes that are 25 characters long

all they have given us is more of the same poor graphics (yes i noe ssbb looks great but any cartoon type looking game can look great not that hard there 's no games where ppl actually look good) poor online, great gameplay but same exact game with same story for 20 years *cough* mario *cough* so my question is why do so many ppl support a system that doesn't really offer anything?

Because the PS3 and Xbox 360 are both very good consoles but, They aren't that different to their predecessors, they are improved with better graphics, better online etc. But it's still the same thing. The difference between the GC and Wii is so much, The Wii has separated itself with a unique controller never used before in gaming and bringing in so many more people, That had no interest in gaming at all beforehand, into the gaming world.

The 360 and PS3 don't compare with the Wii in terms of being innovative, Although they are great consoles in their own right.

You forget that this is an entertainment industry. All that technological superiority doesn't matter a bit unless it creates additional entertainment value for the user. And since that's based in opinion, you're sadly wrong. In this instance, opinion > fact.
