why do so many people on here hate COD?

because its cool to hate it, no i'm serious, i use to be one of those people until i borrowed mw2 from a friend and had a blast. The games are fun imo.

Easy. Run and gun gameplay, unbalanced gameplay, kill streaks, released every year(no new innovation, same game re-packaged over and over). Lots of other reasons.

I don't hate it. But I don't love it. I believe it's taking way to much share of the gaming market, it needs to slow down in sales.

Even is CoD doesn't change much, its not the god awful game people make it out to be. Its a fun pick me up, nothing more, nothing less.

Because it sucks: The campaign is short with terrible A.I.,the multiplayer has reallybad technical issues such as lag and poor hit-detection, the maps are poorly and overly encourage camping, the killstreaks are insane, and it controls like you're a ghost or something.

I don't hate it, but the CoD franchise is home to some of the most boring multiplayer titles in the genre.

Quake 2, a game released in 1997, has far better multiplayer gameplay than any Call of Duty game.

COD has been the same game since 2007, the single player campaigns are terrible and short, the multiplayer is buggy and unbalanced, and the graphics are dated. And now you know.

1. Lag and hit detection. Put dedicated servers in it this time, Black Ops lag and hit detection was god awful!

2. Chopper Gunner. Tired of hiding and waiting for this to go away, easy and skill-less kills, and worst part is they even highlight where the enemies are as if it wasn't already easy enough. Every time I see some wuss using Chopper Gunner, I imediately switch my class to my lock-on Rocket, and shoot them down.

3. Crap Single Player (Just run down an alleyway with the trigger down while taking 1000's of bullets to the face and getting Bloody Screen So Real!)

4. It's the same game over, and over, and over for $60 each time. I mean I was dissapointed with say InFamous 2 (thought they tried too hard and added more annoyances than improvements) but at least it was freakin different and they Tried to make the experience familiar, but still new/different.

5. $15 dollars for 5 maps...It's just pathetic, and shameful when companies like Rockstar offered Full Games for $20 to add on to GTA IV. Or even look at Borderlands DLC for another example. New level caps, areas, etc. $15 for DLC with no Content, while other companies are offering closely priced DLC with Actual Content.

Pick your favorite :)

It's a shame, cause CoD is fun, but these issues hold it back, and I'm simply not buying the same game again.

Of course I did...you never do stupid things when you're really bored?

i don't hate it; i usually have fun with the campaign. But the MP is alright at best. campers are a real problem, and getting killed within 5 steps of respawning isn't fun to me. It can be fun but most other times it's meh. Also killstreaks are obnoxious, and each game makes little to no innovation, and what changes there are are usually for the worse. (ie Riot Sheild, Danger Close etc) And I can guarantee TC that I won't be buying this game.

May be players out there that just don't like the game and not going to buy it. I know the idea sounds so unbelievable to you but there are.

Why do people act like this game is the ultimate game of all time that every player will play and love. There are those who just don't give a crap. I know I don't.

Thanks to Call of Duty, the idea of a Doom clone being created in this day and age seems fresh despite using gameplay mechanics that are almost a decade old.

Truer words have never been spoken. I think the games are fine but there are far better games out their that get shunned because they're in CoD's gigantic fat shadow.

Also, ignorant people seem to think Call of Duty is the only video game available. Seriously, people who buy an Xbox or a PS3 solely for CoD and CoD alone piss me off no end.

The games are enjoyable and people here seem to jump on the bandwagon because hating CoD is System Wars etiquette. If you don't agree then you're going to get flamed and never be taken seriously again.

have you played it since WAW? the multiplayer has been legit awful/broken since then.

I've enjoyed the single player but it's way way way too short. Just can't get into the multiplayer. I'm more of a Battlefield multiplayer fan and my all time fav is actually Socom 2 multiplayer.
