Because until battlefield does yearly releases it's another excuse as to why battlefield is "better".
Come on, I love COD singleplayer and love battlefield in general but you know its true :P
Easy. Run and gun gameplay, unbalanced gameplay, kill streaks, released every year(no new innovation, same game re-packaged over and over). Lots of other reasons.

Guess you hated Doom, Quake, UT then. Those were all run and gun gameplay too.
CoD is popular. People have to hate what is popular to win them some points with other people on the internet. Just like the people who hate Halo. Both are amazing games, and I will be picking up MW3 day one. Haters gonna hate. I'll just leave it at that. Someone should check all the gamertags/psn ids of the people who bash it when MW3 comes out because most likely they will be playing it come release.

it hasn't changed or improved at all, yet it is released every single year.
and it's essentially the manifestation of activision (which people hate) in game form.

People only really started hating Activision because of CoD.
Or at least, that was when their yearly release schedule became apparent.
I think the lawsuit over brutal legend, the west/zampella ordeal, and kotick's various comments had more to do with it[QUOTE="balfe1990"][QUOTE="Sword-Demon"]

Because it's so popular that its uncool to like it. Plus that popularity means the flaws of the game often go unnoticed. Some people feel that its success is not well deserved, others love it.
So partly snobbery, partly because of it's broad appeal.

I already bought MW3 years ago when MW1 came out,
