Why do some people think games sell more on XBOX 360? They don't.

why are we comparing a handfull of games when there are quite literally hundreds more that sold better on the 360? fist of the northstar? uh, ok you can have that one.

I was going over a debate on YouTube and this guy named 7th Level threw out tons of game that even I didn't know had actually sold more on the PS3.

Furthermore, in 2009 fiscal, Sony sold 115 million units of Software whereas XBOX 360 sold 103 million units.

And before anyone wants to discredit the source, I should warn you first.....they are based off of Sony's Fiscal Year reports

that ended March 31, 2010.

It would've been nicer if PS3 owners had started buying more copies of multi-plats in 2006/2007.

Additionally, usually 360 games that are exclusive sell a lot more than PS3 exclusives. Meaning usually, unless you are call of duty or grand theft auto, ps3 software sales for most titles top out at 4-5 million while 360 sales for exclusives can hit 8-12 million.

Thats why there is that perception. Thankfully the PS3 userbase did something and in 2009 and 2010 started buying a lot more software, thankfully avoiding a situation a kin to the PSP's lack of software sales hurting the line up of upcoming games

So THATS why the Wii and 360 both enjoy a healthy now 160 million+ more software sales then the ps3 in total, and The ps3 wow! it managed to1 year outsell the 360 in software...by what was it? 12 million units.

Whats funny is even in your own list there are quite a few games that sold more on the 360 you didn't research them very well.

I looked up each game on the list for each console then went under the "Sales" tab. Any source that anyone provides for any topic of conversation to help validate what they say, will always be scrutinized by those who don't agree, and don't want to fact hunt to prove them otherwise. Basically, taking the lazy way out. If anyone has a more "valid" source for numbers, please list them.

I think it depends on the game, a demon's souls type game will sell better on the ps3 while something like gears and LfD will sell more on the 360 because of live is structured around them, imo.
