Why do we bag on the PS3, but not the Wii?

GC is NOT > PS2 and PS1

Because people that can't afford to buy an Acura NSX will tell you they can get the same performance out of a Honda Civic Si, for cheaper...

People that can't afford a nice HDTV will tell you they can get the same picture quality out of their monitor with a VGA cable...

But the funny thing is, a lot of people will tell you they NEED this and NEED that to enjoy gaming technology.

Since when did playing videogames and technology become more about NECESSITY than INDULGENCE?

or you can pay craploads for a next-gen console with a bucketload of features the Wii can only dream of.  Play PS2 and PS1 titles and downloadable PS3 games as well. Plus Demos.

Wii plays what? VC Games pending when the good ones are released....GC discs...and GC Games with Motion Controls.  I have all 3 systems, and Wii is not in the same league as the PS3 when it comes to tech, and quality overall.  Wii will always be a secondary console. just like the GC was.  Voting for which i like better, cats or dogs as an online feature is not my idea of amazing.

It's more of Sony itself than the PS3 personally. I think the PS3 is a pretty capable machine (albeit lacking in games, having a bad price, and overall not proving itself to be a decent console to me yet), but as of now, it doesn't seem to be in a very good spot. That combined with Sony's arrogant claims, like that guy who said he's pay $1200 for a PS3. That kinda thing is unprofessional and just plain stubborn and arrogant and I really don't like that in a company.

Normally, I could ignore that arrogance, but that combined with the lack of any games that appeal to me on the PS3 make me simply not like it.

I own at least 60 SNES cartridges, and over 250 NES cartridges...

Now, with that being said, I feel like I have the right to run that software using any piece of hardware I choose. I will not be buying that stuff again over the Virtual Console because I already own that stuff.

So you're saying Red Steel, Rayman, Monkeyball, Elebits, Madden, and now Sonic and soon SSX Blur is bad selection, not to mention the fun games that are deemed utter excrement by snobby fanboys and GS reviews....???camzaman

Because the PS3 is so far doing the worst of the 3.
