Why do we have System Wars?

You mean the forum, it's essentially a catch all for most of the forum fanboys that GS doesn't want invading system specifc forums. A place to put "the garbage" as it was once said before here. Alex Watchtower initiated the concept, and the rest is history.

As for in general. People have opinions, and/or just enjoy debating (I have other reasons I enjoy this place). Some people just think it's fun to do this exchange, hence why it's the busiest forum this place has.

SW forumers are now modded harsher than any other forumers, when back in the day the opposite was true.

Because Microsoft is greedy.

Because Nintendo is kiddie.

Yup the perk of this place was once that you didn't need to walk on eggshells to get your point across (ie like General). Sadly overtime they've really just layed into this place.

Hell you can criticize a console/game/company in GGD as long as you do it in a polite manner.

Someone needs to explain why this place still needs to exist, because modding this place the harshest totally destroys all reason to keep SW alive.

JJ I know, I don't think they'll change it back though, sadly. We're not going to see a return of the way this place once was for a long while, if ever. Too many choices have killed the old SW feel.

JJ I know, I don't think they'll change it back though, sadly. We're not going to see a return of the way this place once was for a long while, if ever. Too many choices have killed the old SW feel.

If more mods besides Casey would frequent this forum more often like they did back in the day, that would quell the need to be so harsh with the moderations.

Most just refuse to come here under any circumstance, and that's just lazy.

I agree, but alas not much we can do, it's not like people on this forum haven't tired (most failed, and aren't members anymore). Nothing wrong with venting, got let it out sometimes :)

not sure why I still come here, i suppose out of habbit from years ago. Back when I was a kid, Sega was my choice, in a sea of nintendo fanboys. But, there was no forums, no connected net, just random BBS's. Nintendo Power and Sega Visions Magazine were the fanboy mags back then, although I read both EGM and CGW back in the 80's as well (anyone else?). Hell, I would have killed to have this forum back then.

Now I just gets laughs out of it anymore, the blood pressure worries about the mortgage and everthing else important in life

You named games that are not out yet as if it is guaranteed they will be awsome and worth owning. I am not saying they will not be, but it is also possible that they just fall short. I don't think GT5 will be worth owning unless you want the same old same old and hopefully their online finally happens and works.

But you are correct all systems have games that are worth owning the system for. I hate hte fact that systems have exclusives. I hate the fact I have to buy 3 systems to enjoy all the games, but whatever, I just roll with it.

SW is basically the trashdump of all the GS boards. This has been made for the benefit of the other boards.MoldOnHold
