This is the reason I don't play COD:

^ ^ Call me when COD allows you to do insane shit like what you see in this video. COD is for noobs.

birigrpall's vidoes are way better
 That was epic!! I was actually looking for this vid originally but I couldn't find it. Thanks for posting it :Dbecause there are better shooters out there? (much better I might add) Like tf2, l4d2 (though not sure this is quite the same since you're facing zombies in the multi), and Battlefield has been much better as of late. Microsoft1234Your Sig is Hilarious

call of duty = DestroyedWell after having a hankering for an FPS after not playing one for over a decade, I decided upon Resistance 3 because it doesn't limit you to two weapons at a time, has no regen health, and actually has interesting weapons.
I think I actually have a chance to do well in other shooters and I don't have rely on an instant win button when I get a certain amount of kills to get more kills or disable my opponents.I also don't like cod because of the campaign in the games.
i'm bad vs other players in call of duty.. it seems they always get a head shot on me and i always miss... for something reason i tend to do better on other shooters so i like them more :P and the reward for the better players to put down the worse players even more is too much to take for a baddie like me.
I haven't really enjoyed CoD since the first one on the PC.
I found the first CoD pretty good and atmospheric (if shorts and pretty scripted), after that it was just "rehashes", imo.
Basically I "grown-up" and moved to shooters I consider more appealing. (mostly tactical shooters)
[QUOTE="I_can_haz"]Strapping C4 to an ATV is my favorite way to take out tanks. In Bad company 2 I would put C4 on the tank in free for all deathmatch. Was awesome:lol:This is the reason I don't play COD:

If you're imlying that the reason people dont like COD is because "they suck at it", then You're wrong. Its so easy to get kills in CoD,its not even funny.i'm bad vs other players in call of duty.. it seems they always get a head shot on me and i always miss... for something reason i tend to do better on other shooters so i like them more :P and the reward for the better players to put down the worse players even more is too much to take for a baddie like me.

Because I'm really bad at Call of Duty. I'm usually dead within 10 seconds of spawning, without having fired a shot.lowe0
Run and hide in a corner somewhere, wait for the other players to pass by, then shoot them quickly... won't be long before you're doing great!
Battlefield is just superior to COD in every way possible. I would have to write an essay to describe how superior it is, something I'm not in the mood to do now.I_can_hazI feel the same as this guy
Counter Strike is the shooter king and always will be. Every server is a different experience.

But nontheless, CoD can be fun too at times.
Because I'm really bad at Call of Duty. I'm usually dead within 10 seconds of spawning, without having fired a shot.lowe0You're kidding me right? lol It literally takes no skill to become a beast on CoD. one time,i sat in one spot and got 6 kills in a row with one hand while holding a sandwich with the other lol.
Because I prefer something unique and/or interesting and/or creative when I play a shooter.
I'd rather play video games with adults rather than children, potheads, burnouts, racists, and social degenerates.

Not at all. My average life, per the stats page, is 7 seconds. KDR in the .13 range. I last a lot longer, and at least serve some purpose for the team in BF or Killzone.

Also this.
I played Black Ops 2 during one of the steam free weekends, after not having played a COD game since COD2. Took one match to get a feel for the movement and shooting, and after that I was abosutely dominating. Top 3 in 5 or 6 consecutive matches, stomping all the veteran players with a shitload of medals. Maybe it's because I play Counterstrike (an actual competitive shooter, which requires skill). And I'm  not  good at counterstrike.

i had a similar experience.i played black ops 2 after playing nothing but BF3 for like 3 months straight and it was like going to kindergarten for FPS Games.lol
everything was so dumbed down and easy.
I like the Call of Duty games but to me the most fun FPSs on consoles is still Halo. I know, it's old-school, doesn't have the features that some of the other games do. It's not the technically best shooter out there but I still consider it to be more fun to play than the other ones. Maybe it's the enemy AI, hard to put my finger on it. There's something about it that is more arcadey-feeling and just more entertaining.
Because CoD is trash. Slow, shitty gameplay and terrible maps. Battlefield, Serious Sam, Arma, Doom, ect are far superior shooters.

i like call of duty, i think its good....but i like medal of honor and battlefield...due to the more slower even kill pace, call of duty is a little bit too chaotic for me
youngmurk911
COS is too chaotic? You should play Quake3Arena and Unreal Tournament, true chaotic games.
Compare TF2 to COD multiplayer on PC. TF2 will win in almost every way and it is free plus a ton of free maps. Weapon variety, tactics, unlocks, personality, mode variety, maps, servers, votes, etc.
The singleplayer for COD is all that is interesting to me, and I'm not talking about the gameplay part but the convoluted story part.
Slow mo door busting, exploding cars everywhere, turret sections, on rail sections in a car or in a chopper, a hostage, invisible walls, sniper section, horrible spawning both in multi as for the enemies in singleplayer, non-existant AI. The gameplay is freaking boring. Run to the marker on the screen and click to shoot. There is no depth, no interesting mechanics. We've seen it all a thousand times before. COD is paper thin.
The way the COD games doll you up it may as well be tan in a can instead of a game disc. I understand some people are into this stuff of 'I'm so good I killed all 5 enemies in slowmotion' and 'it's so cinematic I don't have to push a button now' and 'I get respect cause of the time I put into this game' and 'listen to that hot celebrity voice I totally wanna replay that' but all of that is really not for me.
Many modern FPS series have adapted this fake hollywood cinematic styIe and it did them no favors. Most of the better FPS games are older games or hybrids. I'm convinced the major reason that it's selling is because consoles are lacking good multiplayer alternatives and FPS on a console is hamstrung from the get go.
I choose TF2 over any COD multiplayer. When TF2 got boring I played Tribes for ages which at least has an interesting mechanic going for it. For singleplayer I enjoyed Bioshocks/Deus Exes/System Shock 2 with mods recently. Also, they all have more or less interesting mechanics. I prefer Battlefield to COD (in multiplayer, the singleplayer actually managed to be even worse than COD) because it has vehicles, and there aren't many other FPS games that have that.
Planetside 2 comes to mind but I found it less polished than BF3.
Then I look at the popularity of the Metro 24/7 servers and the COD modification for BF3 (that first DLC) and apparently I am in the minority of how I feel about FPS games. People love running mindlessly to their deaths without being able to do much of anything. Like people turning on a TV without knowing what they're watching for hours cause they don't care, except these people keep paying for it. It's either that or (I hope!) it's to grind weapon xp, because close quarter shooting is definitely not where BF3 excells.
