I don't hate them as they still publish games I like or have interest in (heck, I've said this for Activision in the past as I like the currently defunct Guitar Hero franchise and liked the Wii versions of CoD4 and Goldeneye). But their on-disc DLC practice is just plain bulls***!
Where's the I hate that I like them option?
I hate Capcom for On Disc DLC, Butchering of Franchises, and Cancelling Game Ideas that are potentially Good.
BUT I freakin love them for the games.
Hate the Bussiness, but I do love the games.
I don't hate them as much as I use to, now if it was Square Enix then that's a whole different story.
They have been killing all their franchises this gen. Resident Evil, Lost Planet, DMC, etc. have all been degrading in quality. They are also the worst company when it comes to DLC and milking. Street Fighter 4 has like 4 different variations and MvC3 was a joke with what they did with UMvC3. They have also put out trash like Dark Void and Asura's Wrath (a game in which they make you pay extra money to play the 'true ending'). They're just an all around scumbag company and I refuse to give them my money.BPoole96
Pretty much this. Perfectly said.
useless reboots, they killed Megaman, overpriced DLC on-disc, they don't listen to the fans, ever... X-factor ruined Marvel and the fans complained but Capcom did nothing but make powerful characters like Wesker more powerful and NERF weak characters like She-Hulk when they were already low tier to begin with. And the same has happened with SxT and that's why its community died so fast.
Despite Capcom producing my favourite hack n slash (Devil May Cry 4) and multiplayer game (SSFIV) this gen, they engage in horrible business practices. They have a bad track record with games in general this gen as well.
the quality of their games has dropped off significantly this gen and they abuse the hell out of DLC and releasing the same game twice a year. i dont like them and i dont support them. they've become much worse than activision or eamems_1224Yeah, they pissed me off with releasing 3 versions of SFIV and made thing even worse with SF X Tekken when they refused to include 4 player Co-op in the XBox 360 version of the game. The feature is in the instructions and on the box, but not in the game. That's serious FALSE ADVERTISING. http://www.pixlbit.com/news/1978/capcom_offers_explanation_over_xbox_360_street_fighter_x_tekkens_missing_coop The hackers found out that there were 12 additional characters locked on the SF x Tekken disk that Capcom was going to force gamers to pay to unlock them. Hackers instead found a way to unlock the characters themselves and play them without paying. These characters should have been FREE to play and be unlocked by gamers as they played the game. This is how it has always been, but GREEDY CAPCOM wants gamers to play like $10-$15 to get the characters. Total BS. http://www.gametrailers.com/side-mission/8163/hackers-unlock-street-fighter-x-tekkens-12-new-characters-use-them-on-xbox-live Now Capcom wants to BAN these hacker's accounts who are using these characters on XBox Live. I suggest Capcom be very careful, as hackers are know for getting revenge in these type of situations. People saw what happened to Sony and their network. This pissed me off so I've boycotted Capcom games for now. They also
I don't. They still make some decent games, and have some quality games behind them.
They also cancel games that would have been as crap as the previous ones, since they know they'll sell as poorly as the rest. (MML3)
They should make some more Battle Network games though. Those are the best things to happen to Megaman, though they are pretty Level 5 ish in character design. Which is good.
At this point for me, Capcom is like having a FWB relationship with a jerk ex bf -- someone you can't stand anymore, but the sex is just so good, that you can't help but keep coming back to take it from behind anyways. I can't stand them as a company because of their practices, but that really doesn't stop their games from being A1.
I don't hate them since they made Dragon's Dogma, the Skyrim-killer, and Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, the best game on PSP and the only one I've played in ages which requires skill. What I hate is the way they handle DLC.

I will never hate the company that brought us the Street Fighter Series... Never Never Never..
Surely the quality for some of their latest titles hasnt met expectations but I still enjoy their games... Waiting for SF5 :P
Not sure how well that translates to being a dude, but I understand. At this point for me, Capcom is like having a FWB relationship with a jerk ex bf -- someone you can't stand anymore, but the sex is just so good, that you can't help but keep coming back to take it from behind anyways. lol! Yeah, I guess I could've been more neutral with my description. :P
I dislike them, while some of their games haven't been bad at all (mainly DMC4 and SF4 Vanilla) the rest have been full of questionable choices and plagued with DLC (and yes, that is Disk Locked Content).
