You are going to be very disappointed if you think Scorpio is going change anything. PS4 will have about a 70 to 30 million lead by then. Xbox is headed towards a new a goal, a goal that that realizes PS will continue be the worldwide leader in console gaming.

Just because the PS4 is outselling it doesn't mean it's selling poorly. The Wii U is the only home console this generation that sold poorly.

If the Scorpio ends up being $100-$200 more than the PS4 neo then it will fail to change anything about the current situation.

I actually think it's doing ok. Just because there is another console doing better does not equal this one doing poorly. But you already knew that I would have to assume.

People need to stop repeating this crap. The 360 sold 85 million units. Xbox One might not reach 40 million. And Xbox One sales have been on the decline this years. It's not going to get any better

IGN was picking their best of show Zelda got the most picks, Horizon Zero Dawn was second and Xbox only had one vote by ultra Xbox fanboy Ryan McCaffrey picking Gears 4...what a joke. Lems talk about Sony fanboys looking for ahead for games, but they are looking ahead to piece of hardware that will have no exclusives and very few good looking Microsoft publsihed games period on the horizon.

I mean Sony fans want the Neo so Horizon Zero Dawn, NieR Automata, The Last Guardian, God Of War, Detroit, Spider-Man, Days Gone etc will looking even more amazing.

Xbox One sales have slowed down a lot so I'm not sure if it's still true. I could be wrong though, can you show me a recent link saying its still doing better than 360 Worldwide?

But the fact remains that its still selling better than the 360 did during the same time frame and as a whole the XB1 is doing very well.

Also, only selling 40 million LTD isn't something to look down upon. You have to take into consideration how many of the 80 million 360's sold were replacements because of RROD. Also, since Scorpio is still part of the XB1 brand it will be counted with the existing XB1's sold, so its inevitable that it will indeed hit over 40 million sold.

I think the new S model will give sales a bump. Or are you guys going to say it's a different system and not count it? System Wars seems to come up with weird rules like that.

It's only doing better because the launch was so front-loaded. I don't see how any could call around 20 million units sold almost 31 months into the life cycle very good. Especially when your main competition has double that.

This generation has pushed Microsoft to put all their games on PC now so that this has been a net positive for the gaming community.

Phil Spencer said it in an interview during E3. I think it might have been the interview he did with Giantbomb.

Xbone's lineup is comedy. They have nothing to look forward to besides Forza.

In my case no. I've been waiting patiently and will most likely get the S. Having a PS4 already I was in no hurry and have been waiting for enough games I cant play on that to come out to make my purchase worthwhile. I was going to wait for a super cheap price but the new model has me excited.

I think a few things actually. Lack of variety and lack of exclusives, low consumer confidence after the RRoD, support of consoles also ends quickly....the backlash didn't help it and may have tipped the scales initially but I don't think it's a factor now. The high price tag didn't help.

I don't think exclusives sell the system. However, I do know a lot of people switched because of the whole power thing when PS4 had the upper hand due to hardware.

Not sure it makes a difference in the long run, since 90% of the buying population just wanted it for Gears, Halo and CoD. Which is fairly sad. A friend of mine didn't even think CoD or any of the newer games were on Playstation consoles(and he played 360 a ton including all of the major FPS games), which just goes to show you how out of touch the regular consumer is with everything.

I think the PS4 is just doing better with marketing, however, and getting their name out there.

Realistically what they have to do is take momentum away from Sony, and that ends up being a victory for Microsoft.

The thing is, if the Scorpio ends up costing $499-$599, they're not going to do that.

Right now, a huge reason is that the Xbone has hundreds of less games than the PS4 and both machines released in Nov 2013. Consumers want options and more games, which is completely normal considering the previous leaders in console history.

Other issues have also been touched on like the shuttering of 1st party, the poor reveal, consumer message, power gap, forced bundled Kinect early on, etc. It's still selling decent though, but a lot of mistakes were made and right now they are trying to turn things around.

It's going to have Console Exclusives. :P

Be that as it may it still doesn't keep the Xbone from being a successful console. A whole lot of us don't care about exclusives and will buy it just to have fun playing games even if it doesn't give us fanboy ammo for system wars.

if the xbox one or the elite or the one S is any example (one s claimed new hardware and more power in gods of war at e3 but now it said no change) I bet the 2017 model will be priced at $650 and it be another FAIL.

right now sony has a 2-1 lead and when PSVR and NEO come out and prove what they can do all the 4K talk will by then be disproven by every pc gamer site.

this week ms is dropping the price again on the xbox one ....it now hitting 279 soon it be worth so little for 0box one owner to trade in that they wont move onto a new model because it just be so expensive for those who paid 400-500......some even bought the elite.....now they going to change even the controller....

selling 150 controller or 200 ones is just a big money grab...along with the 1TB elite that has a junk drive in it.

sony ps4 users can move into a ssd for that EASY.

all 4k tv do that already and they have a preset button on the remote so you wont have to wait 2 mins for you xbox to boot.

4K blueray you say........yea a choice of 20 that's all there is..... and good luck to renting one....the 4k blueray player only came out in march.....and they cost 500 so don't expect a huge user base.

it be like 2006 with blueray......even now we only starting to see blueray rentals.....and semiwidespead movie choices.
