Im confused why does so many say that xbox 360 is bad. I got a ps3 and i was planning to wish an xbox 360 for christmas. But i dont know now after all the negative things i have heard from it :( Is it true that it is really that bad? But if it's that bad why does IGN and Gamespot and all these play on them when they review a game?

Put simply it's not a bad machine but my buddies Jasper unit just RROD on him. it seems they STILL haven't figured out a solution to the RROD/E74. Till they do, the 360 can stay on a stores shelf. I'm not buying a machine that's guarranteed to break down.

BTW ALL of my friends with a 360 have had RROD at LEAST once, that's 5 people with 360's. The one above has had 3 all on NEW machines. The first he tried to fix himself. The second was purchased after he didn't fix the first and the third was purchased to use when the second RROD'd 3 months after he got it. He uses the thing a LOT though. I'm talking like 8 hours a day plus movies and stuff.

Anyways the hardware problems are the only real things to complain about when it comes to the 360. The controller feels better...to me at least. The games are fun. It's got TONS of games the PS3 can't play, although still not counted as exclusive. But for reliability you cant beat the PS3. I personally have a PSWii setup.

Personlly I think the biggest thing for me is M$ trying to milk it's customers for every single thing they offer for the console. When I buy a console I'm doing them (that compnay) a favor not the other way around. M$ doesn't seem to appreciate that contribution from their customers so I will go with a company that dose or one that atleast appears nuteral.

It's a great console. I've had one for 3 years, and although I had to get it repaired once (for free,) I really enjoy owning one.

unless ur wanting to play alot of 360 exclusives, you have no reason to. it'll cost more to be almost as feature filled as a ps3 and theres still a small chance you could get an rrod. DO NOT move it with a disc inside.

The only things I really dont like about the 360 is the fact that it doesnt include wifi and you have to pay to play online. Plus the hardware failures and stuff really dont help the consoles image either.

360 is amazing. Easly one of the best consoles i have ever had

I have my x360 for over a year and I didn't have any hardware problems with it. No RRODs, no scratched discs. I guess you should decide on x360 if exclusives are appealing to you ;)

It's because with the recent successes of the PS3 (ie, exclusives, price drops, blu-ray) etc, there *seem* to be many more Cows on SW. Just like their *seemed* to be many more Lemmings when the PS3 was doing awful.

360 is a solid console, with great games. I love it.

I had my Elite for almost 2 years in a wide open space, and one day it decided to go and get the RROD. If you treat it badly it will definately fail, but sometimes it will definately fail on it's own aswell.

There are still very good multiplats and exclusives. The majority of past multiplats also have the edge on 360, and even some newer ones (even though they are mostly even now).

Because it's an expensive endeavor with shoddy hardware and quite of bit of it's games are on PC.. even its controller is used on PC.

Bad hardware failure rate, payment for online, and not a single good exclusive on it except Gears of War 2 and Shadow Complex. That's why I don't own the damn thing.
