I thought last year's offering was pretty good, they finally got the hitting balance right and the quick counts were a welcomed edition. That said, I'm not gonna be plunking any cash down for a new baseball game for a while,..

I don't know what baseball is.
I don't live in the US which would be one of the reasons why I don't know anything about it.
The same counts for the other billions of people that live outside the US.
Of course there are exceptions. But I'm positive that Baseball isn't popular outside the US.
@charizard1605: please name any major MLB game franchise with a similar level of production and marketing? Also, you're the one that's pretending to give a hoot about baseball
Lol baseball
Exactly what I was thinking. It's hard to decide if Golf or Baseball is the king of boring.
Well, golf is enjoyable to play. Very relaxing.
Asking people to remember this is game is like asking us to remember Madden is a good sports game. Yup it is if you care about sports and that particular sport. The one sports game the world cares about is FIFA. Madden, MLB the Show, and NBA 2K are all in the same bracket of only the US audience will pick this up.
Just gonna make a quick point that Baseball isn't restricted to being big only in America. Baseball is pretty big in Japan, of all places. But yeah, I like real baseball well enough, but baseball games are frustrating and strange. Either I win every game 16-0, or lose every game 0-16 or so. Either I'm hitting everything and they hit nothing, or the opposite.
Also, as bad as rage quitting is, imagine investing the time to play a game online to the bottom of the ninth inning, a very close game, you make a decisive hit and… other guy rage quits. Imagine that happening back to back in multiple games.
I guess they are too worried about playing sales. Plus is this MLB using the old ass last gen PS3 engine again? Who gets excited for a next gen console for the exact same game on the PS3?
