Why does everyone suddenly think ME2 is the best?

Why has System Wars suddenly start thinking Mass Effect 2 is the best thing coming out next year? :? I know it looks great, and will probably be an awesome game, but I think we're all forgetting the biggest project for Bungie -- Halo: Reach. Reach will destroy Mass Effect 2 in every single way - hype, pre-orders, sales, reviews, quality, multiplayer service, campaign, longevity. People need to quit thinking Mass Effect is the King of 2010, for that goes to Reach.

Sure, she's pretty. But people need to realize that it's not the cast (whether they're good at their thing or not) that makes a game great. It's the developers. Not realizing this will result in an insane hype by the fans, ultimately resulting in a disappointment.

Reach is going to lacerate Mass Effect 2 in every single way - Hail to the King.

We will have to wait and see won't we? Maybe ME2 will even outscore uncharted :P

Reach will not "destroy" Mass Effect. They are 2 completely diferent games from diferent genres. Thankfully ill be playing both :)

quality is very subjective. Reach will certainly beat it in sales and hype. but if someone likes rpgs more than FPS, they are going to think ME2 is a better game.

i'm a fan of the Halo franchises, and i enjoyed ME1 more than any of those games. its just a matter of opinion.

well us 360ites are excited because it is so close, but you are right, reach will be the biggest game of 2010 like always, sell the most, and will be AAAE. Its great to be a 360 fan!

I like mass effect much more then halo and im sure some other people do as well.

I don't think it's going to be the best. But then again, I'm only a little optimistic that I'll enjoy it more than the first Mass Effect.

uh they are partial to JRPG and games for the Japanese, you didnt know that? They gave gears 1 and Halo 3 36/40 yet they give some random japanese game 40/40 all the time.

It's still going to be freakin amazing nonetheless. Doesn't really matter what other games are coming out.

So far, FFXII has been the only Final Fantsy to get a perfect score, yet the main series has traiditonal averaged high-AA and AAA in over here, so it's no big deal.

Seriously, people hype what they think looks good and face it, many think Mass Effect 2 is looking great. Whether it is going to be the best game of 2010 remains to be seen, but it sure is looking like it will be an easy top contender as far as I am concerned.

Yep -- Killzone 2 was probably the most hyped game in SW history, but the quality of original ME doesn't make the sequel worthy of such hype it's attaining at the present time around the gaming world.

Half-Life 2 released 3 years after Halo. HL3 not being released is not bungie's fault, go whine at Valve's office, they're too busy doing something else, or too lazy producing half life 3
