Why do you think this argument pops up billions of time sthroughout the entire internet? Because both sides can't stop whining about the other, saying BS about how each side is ruining gaming or whatever.

It's actually already as bad as politics. You see, a system is like a political party, some people will defend them even if it goes against their gaming ideology. People also make statements that talk as if all the people who own a system are a all certain way.

For example, "All these damn liberals are destroying America!" also has the equivalent of "All these damn consolites are destroying gaming!"

Maybe it's just me, but it seems like PC gamers always say to console gamers "We're better than you. We have better hardware, yours is outdated. We have Steam, you don't. We have customization, PC + keyboard is better than gamepad, etc. etc.". It just gets tiring after awhile.

Yeah, I often hear keyboard + mouse is superior, but I also hear it stated often as fact that the 360 controller is superior to the PS3 one. So yeah, no one's perfect in all regards. And a lot of console fans completely dismiss handheld games.

I don't have a problem with people looking down on the wii as inferior or gimmicky. That's REALLY just typical fanboynism. I don't have a problem if people continually state how consoles are inferior to their PCs either. This isn't what I'm talking about tho. I'm referring to people looking down on the gamers themselves, just like a lot of hermits do when they use labels like poor, dumb, lazy or incomptent just because of the sheer fact that they game on consoles. That's the elitists I'm talking about. :)
