Why does the XBOX 360 exist?

The PS3 and Wii are the best choises a gamer could make. I already have a wii (motion controls) and next Christmas I will get a PS3 (Next-gen Graphics).

The Xbox on the other hand, doesn't have motion controls. For me, motion controls are the future. Besides, the PS3 has better graphics than XBOX 360.

I thought the Wii felt very...gimmicky... It has a couple of good games but the rest are crap and many of those games could have been done last generation on the gamecube...not to mention the fact that nintendos online policy is completely backwards compared to what gamers want...Nintendo is catering to a non-gamer crowd and its top salers are proof...If the Wii is the future of console gaming than I'll be upgrading my PC a lot more in the future...

As for why the xbox 360 exists? It exists because gamers like it...it has the most games and some of the best franchises in video game history...hell one could have said the same you just said about the xbox 360 to the PS3....Why does it exist? There are plenty of other blu-ray players now selling at 370...and its lack of original titles is horrible....Hell most of its hyped games aren't even out yet or fell well short of their goals...Why does it exist?

Halo?? Its kind of hard to aim with the analog stick you know... its better played with the wii pointer. Metroid Prime 3 is a great example.

Galaxy is pretty fun, but there are people who don't like Platformers. Also Galaxy is just one game, sure it can beat any 360 game, but when you look at the other games on the system the 360 does better.

The Xbox 360s also have technical problems which are cery well known by their poor buyers: The Red Ring of Death and the fact that the XBOX 360 can sometimes scratch your discs so hard, that it can't even read them.lancea34

All I know is that if you're looking for an adult gaming system or games, the Wii is out of the running. I really don't think a gimmicky motion system makes up for their poor hardware, severly inferior graphics and boring easily beaten games. I loved the nes and snes, but most of the games I loved on that system have since evolved and are on the playstation and xbox. Marketing to kids is a great idea! It will net a lot of money, just like every children's cartoon, but I would rather have a more adult experience. Saying that graphics aren't important is just stupid. Would you enjoy a movie with a great plot if the effects and film quality are like a 1900's silent film? Videogaming is a VISUAL media, so graphics count for a lot! I don't think you can compare the Wii to the PS3 and Xbox 360, it's like comparing an electric Barbie car to a Ferrari or a Lamborghini. Sure a lot of people will by the barbie car, but it isn't the same caliber.

Why does the PS3 exist?

It basically has the same graphics as the 360(very minor diffrences with multiplats and most being better on the 360), but more superior online, more and great variety of games, more AAAEs and a larger install base than the PS3(almost twice) and it has a greater lineup in 08(due to my prefrences), as in: Gears 2, NG 2, Bajo 3, Halo wars, Fable 2 and Alan wake(not to mention all the multiplats). So can anyone answer my questions?
