I thought about something. A few games on the 360 pain me not to be able to play, seeing as I don't personally own a 360. *I play it a lot at friends' houses*

So I looked up the prices for the 360 on the Mircosoft site. I'm trying to get the most basic deal.

Base Console + 64memory + controller + 5 arcade games (awesome) + Silver membership= $280 bucks.

I'm like: "Awesome! Thats only 30 more then the Wii! Oh right, its not WiFi enabled.

100 bucks.

Wow. Christ. Looks like I'm not playing online. Lets see how much a small extra memory card is.

64 mb memory. 40 bucks.

What the..!! THE 1014 BLOCK FOR THE CUBE WAS ONLY LIKE, 40 BUCKS. I HAVE A FLASH MEMORY THATS THE SAME SIZE THAT I GOT FOR FREE.

How much are extra controllers. Wait, I can't buy wired ones anymore?

50 bucks each.

I'm playing alone. Lets see how much Halo 3 is.

60 bucks.

*Head in hands* Is the $10 dollar increase really really necessary?

Hell, at least I can try and use this thing for HD DVDs right?

180 bucks.

*Twitch, foam, etc*

If I wanted to play a halo 3 with at least one friend, online, I'd need to spend....

$490.

}:

Why doesn't the 360 have built in Wifi support? Why do extra controllers cost so much? (The wii isn't much better, 40 is still kinda ow, thats without a nunchuk. Thank goodness for gamecube controller compatible wii games.) Why is the norm for 360 games 60?

Oh, and my friends 360 just broke. So now I can't even play his.

System wars, what should I do?

I really want a 360 too

And... I think I'm just gonna wait until microsoft releases a wifi enabled system, because 100 bucks for that adapter is just too much.

Gaming in general has always been an expensive hobby. Here latly however with this gen it has gotten a little out of hand. With three companys with there hats in the ring they really try to pump in as much technology as possible to be more apetizing for the consumer.Nintendo on the other hand has tried to go into a different direction offering a less powerful system with a new controller in order to help keep costs down.Im not bashing nintendo because i understand why they decided to not go for the graphics muscle and instead make a decent console that the average man can afford.Microsoft and sony have went the route were they pump as much technology as possible into there consoles to try and stay ahead of the other thus making there consoles pretty darn expensive.Personally iprefer the 360 over the other 2 consoles and even i think its a little pricey for a console.Ps3 on the other hand is waaayyy to expensive because of all the things they felt they had to put into there console. In all honesty i think having a blue ray drive in a console is awesome but when it pumps the price up as high as the ps3 is it never crosses my mind to go out and drop that kindeve cash for a game machine. Also having very little as far as good games hurts sony as well.In my opinion if ya dont wanna pay that much money for a 360 then u should just keep waiting until they get the prices down to a lower level.Who knows,by the time your able to buy a 360 u may not even want one anymore and might wanna go with one of there competitors.

Hrm. lemme think on this. I paid nearly $1500 for my HDTV. A PS3, a 360. Yeah. Just those three things there are a lot. Do I care? No. Can I afford it? Hells yeah. Life is good. Enjoy it while you can.

... So basically:

"ITS OKAY THAT THINGS ARE EXPENSIVE BE MORE ADVENTUROUS!"

Sony should start using that as their sales pitch.

I really dont get it why are you complaing. US has the cheapest prices when it comes to consoles and games. Here in the UK we get raped prices of consoles and games.

PS3 60GB version with the currenct price drop is £350 (was £424). £350 = $718. $718 dollars for a PS3 which is worse than in the US. In the US i think you can still get a 80GB for less than $718 and it has that emotinal chip or whatever which in europe we never had.

Xbox elite is £300 which is $615 dollars in US money.

Lets talk about the games. Halo 3 cost £40 which is $82 dollars. In the US it cost $60 dollars so games cost $20 dollars more in the UK and they are the SAME GAMES. Most new games that come out cost in the UK cost between $82-$92 dollars (£40-£45).

In a console lifetime you guys in the US will allready save soo much just on games compared to us that its a joke. We are paying much much more for the same quality sometimes even for the worse quality we are paying more.

And aren't there cheaper wifi devices out there you can buy that aren't MS made. I remember many people saying this and talking about buying there from 3rd party companies etc...
