Why Doesnt Anyone Use Mics Anymore?

Why is every TC so mad today?

Everyone now is on party chat with their friends which completly ruined playing communicating and devolping strategies.

I don't really get it either. I generally am not that social but jesus. You can play like 20 games and not find a single person talking. Even in pc games where all you have to do is type with the friggin keyboard. Does no one find it fun to talk to eachother and make strategies anymore ? I don't even really care much to play those games if I'm not talking with other people. dkdk999

I think this is why I fell out of online gameing, you do not feel like your interactng with people anymore. Xbox live used to be so funny whenn everyone cut loose.

On xbox live? On of the "pluses" of the service: "party chat". While i love this feature, it has lead to such a reduction in public mic use. - its a shame, gears was so fun trash talking between rounds before :)

I talk to people on Skype. I choose not to talk to people on games because I know they don't really have anything important to say except cussing every time they die or letting me know their musical tastes

You can try being helpful, maybe they won't suck as much. This why I can't freaking stand multiplayer shooters. It's a goddamn game, stop acting like you are curing cancer.

Honestly I find alot of randoms that end up becoming greatfriends so thats why I would love to see more mics. To comment on both your posts, as you can see I am a leader of 2 clans and all I advocate is helping each other so you can get better. So Im not as condescending as my post indicates. If you are terrible Id personally ask you if you would like to follow me and at the same time giving you very helpful pointers.

My issue is im currently playing Gears 3 (which requires some kind of teamwork if you plan on winning) and unless one of my friends are on, I'm stuck with people who use up all the spawns and dont even bother reviving me,eventhough they are standing on top of my head. If they had a mic I would try to get some strategy going sotheycan stopgoing 1-10.If you played with me you'd know that I was justtrying to be funny on my first post.

Once I turn on my 360 I make a party, then switch to GAME CHAT. I don't think alot of people know that if you press the "Y" button it can switch from PARTY CHAT to GAME CHAT without having to leave the room.

It's usually my family that join the party and we talk sh^t between games, but when things get intense or I wanna curse out the other team - I'm always in GAME CHAT.

I love using my mic since I'm very vocal/social... The problem is that mic is broken - so I use the cell phone mic, which sucks.

I honestly do not know, but I don't use my mic often unless a situation is dire.

Only time I use a mic is on TF2 because voice is actually useful in the game, and the community is awesome.

Though I doubt anyone would want to talk to somebody screaming to them that they suck.

On the xbox party chat kinda ruined xbox live. I mean yea it feels good that I don't have to hear annoying little kids, people saying racist, homophobic terms etc. But I do miss the days of xbox live when everyone on my team used a mic commuincated with each other etc. I met alot of cool people over xbox live and some of them I became real life friends with. On the ps3 its just the fact a mic is not included with the system like the xbox does. The only games on ps3 where people use mics is Call of Duty and Uncharted.
