Why doesn't Halo Infinite have a release date yet?

Halo Infinite Devs 'Committed' to Holiday 2021 Launch, Phil Spencer Says.

Apparently they're waiting to see when COD and BF release before choosing a certain week.

That could be the case. I wouldn't be surprised if they try to bundle the game for Thanksgiving sale.

Seems like the prudent thing to do.

I'm guessing the devs got together and decided to hold out on a release date solely to piss you off.

It is kinda pathetic the same few Sony fanboys make so many anti Xbox threads. I know the whole meme Sony fans do not like their system they just hate yours stuff but it really seems to go beyond that. Take the OP for example he has 32,000 posts and almost all is just hating on Xbox. The OP literally spends his time either hating on Xbox on here or searching the web for some anti Xbox thread so he can post on here and the circle goes on.

You honestly have to feel bad for these people that all their passion and time is spent on hating something that actually has no effect on them at all. I come on here every once in awhile but every time I do I see that same anti Xbox people making a lot of threads and a ton of posts just hating on a system.

It is just weird for some people to spend so much of their life hating on something that should have no effect on them.

When I look at the threads and the time they take researching anti Xbox stuff I really have to wonder how much they actually play games if at all. The funny part is most will claim they are in SW terms manticores lmao. Seriously how do you have enough time to play multiple systems let alone one. Between sleep and Xbox hating how do you have time for anything else?

That's hilarious when Halo used to be the big hitter. Now Microsoft is scared of other releases. Shows how irrelevant the franchise has become.

You are so right about finding the time to play all these games. Honestly I could easily just be a one system owner and I’d still have backlog of games at my disposal. That’s probably why I’m not at all worried about when Halo: Infinite comes out. While I’m very hyped for the game I’ve got more then enough games to keep me busy until then.

Dunno but can't wait for it. It's my most hyped game currently.

It’s a bit odd. I can’t imagine Halo being delayed though. Like someone earlier said, maybe the MP releases but the campaign doesn’t? They had a full year to get the game ready for launch. There is plenty of competition this year with FPS.

Phil just confirmed it’s narrowed down to a 3 week window this holiday. They are just verifying a few things before the date is announced. My guess is waiting to find out when COD releases.

I've been a supporter of the Xbox brand for a while...but, I just really don't care for halo. It's like watching paint dry.

@x_hedon: that’s a very smart decision. With so many FPS releases this year, especially COD, they need to be mindful of their release date.
