Why doesn't the Wii brag?

I always see the fanboys of the 360 and PS3 arguing. And latley there has been someone who seems obsessed with letting the PS3 owners know they are in 3rd place, of course he/she doesn't think the year head start should make a difference. Sure Sony isn't outselling anyone with the PS3, but they have three systems still selling good in the market. Plus it's been said PS3 sold more in its time so far, than the 360 did. I'm not bashing 360, but it could not be farther from the truth that the PS3 is failing and the plugs getting pulled soon. It has good games coming out, and a bright looking future. But this isn't about defending the PS3, people like Cole-Protocal like to gloat about the PS3's 3rd place, and the Xbox 360's 8 Million lead over us due to the excellent release. But do you realize that the Wii is outselling MS by 17 Million. Just google VG Charts. After I seen that I wondered where all the Wii Fanboys are, and why they aren't laughing at all the PS3 and MS Fanboys. Ps3 and 360 are fighting about 2nd place...Kind of stupid. Then it hit me, considering most of the Wii users are adults it's probably because they mature enough not to loathe someone over picking another game system, or boast because more people picked the Wii than PS3 and 360. Now I really can't wait to get a Wii, finally tried one and they deserve first. It may not be a system I can sit down and play for hours like my PS3, but when you have friends over, nothing compares to it. *Puts on my Flameproof suit*

well I play guitar hero or rock band with friends more then I play the wii as a whole

I'm just excited for the 2009 titles.

You tell me, Wii users are the ones that made noise about Nintendo abandoning them for casuals.

Since this is SW there is no way of me knowing if your comment is honest or damage control, I can only go by the general impression Wii users give off; which is something from the Nintendo fans themselves and not fabricated by hateboys.

So many people on here say Wii sucks, yet howdome it is selling so well. It must have something attracting so many people to buy it, it makes me want one just to see how it is sold out everywhere almost all year.Lalucar

The reason "so many people" in systems wars knock the Wii is because its a room full of Hardcore gamers. You wouldnt go to the gym and expect to spark up a positive conversation about Hanna Montana would you? In my opinion its selling because it targets a great demograph...Kids, and Casual gamers. Its smart thinking by Nintendo because they picked the gamers that are easy to please. Casual gamers and Kids dont care about Graphics, exclusives, download content, internet browsers, bluray on consoles etc. Plus its a great gift....If you know a child..and you want to get him a gift...get a Wii. Plus its a better baby sitting tool for kids.....better than getting them Gears of War 2 so that they can hack at locuts beasts while hearing profanity.

so true.. and for the record i brag about exclusives because that's my deciding factor on a console.. and the wii had twice as many exclusives as the 360 this year

when i bought my 360, now THAT came with shovelware.. kungfu panda and lego indy nothnx i'll take wii sports over those anyday

no offense to lego indy i understand it's not as bad as kung fu panda but still.. the platforming sucks, the combat sucks, the puzzles suck.. why would i play a game thats subpar in every category..people defend those games till they're blue in the face about how they're for everyone but god forbid they play a wii game

i believe most wii users arrent on here bc, in all honesty, theres nothing to brag about imo. i had a wii for almost two years, and aside from guitar hero i never played it. ever. i bought super mario galaxy, i bought no more heroes. neither of them i finished. personally, i got so mad at looking at the thing that i had to sell it before i threw it out my window. sure, the things selling more than anything the vg world has ever seen, but thats honestly only because of the fact that the vg world has never seen anything like it. as far as stay at home mom's with 8 yearolds are concerned, its the 'thing for their kids to have' and 'everyones talking about it'. plus they can now play with their kids. now take this same mom, and show her a ps3- she'll believe its too overpriced, and thus she'lll buy a 360 if she doesnt buy a wii. add the fact that 360's been on the market longer than its competitors and you have your reasons for wii to be in first, MS in second, and sony in third.

me personally, im no effin fanboy. I own a ps3, and ill play both a 360 and a wii without hesitation. the fact is that sony's machine offers what i want- a console with great games, the ability to store 250 gigs (or more once i replace the hd again) of my music and movies, and a decent online service. what more could I ask for.

Some wii games are horrible. Others are amazing. I bought one because I thought the wii would be fun, and it certainly is. I've played both the 360 and PS3, and they're both great. Happy? This stuff isn't going to get you guys anywhere. ;)
