[QUOTE="Brownesque"]Because they're a bunch of garbage that you shouldn't play. You should simply play on PC where you get to choose the map, ping, game type, and player count.Metalscarz
Or I can play what I want, on my PC or console. I can use matchmaking if I want, or I can read through lines and lines of nonsense until I find what I want. Then I can download the custom MP3 for the announcer. Then the game will start and the ****ing map will change anyway and I'll have to download stuff all over again. I'm using hyperbole to make a point of course.
I really prefer PC as a platform for pure performance, but every post I ever see you make makes me think you may be having an unnatural attraction to your PC.
Matchmaking is more streamlined and lets you experience the entire multiplayer suite with suitable opponents when implemented correctly. It is MUCH better then cherry picking game types / people for ranked matches.
Server lists let you fine tune your experience to your liking.
Games should offer both.
If one has to go I say goodbye server lists.
You say otherwise. Yay for opinions.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with preferring one over the other.
There is something wrong with coming off like an elitist, or snob or know it all though. Go give your rig a kiss goodnight for me. :P  :|
First point: neither has to go. Second: every time I boot up any PC game I click "Ping," to sort ping lowest to highest if the game doesn't have saved sorting. As soon as the list is refreshed I have the optimal server at the top of the list. This takes all of three seconds and at the end of that time I'm connecting and loading the map (which takes a short amount of time) and I'm playing at the end of all of it. Optimally this means I'm gaming in 15 seconds. Matchmaking is more braindead, not "more streamlined."
