I'm no lemming but it ould be that they don't have something that could be better. They can bash Resistance 2 and Killzone 2 because they can believe Gears 2 will be better, but if they bash LBP what can they say will beat it on 360 ?

Really though, it has to be hard to hate. How do you even classify it? You can say it looks kiddy, but saying something is kiddy if it isn't Hello Kitty isn't going to hold much water with serious gamers. Even Pokemon gets respect from vets. You can't say it looks generic because what else is like it? Can't say it isn't creative, because it's all about creativity. You can't say it doesn't have replay value because it has endless replay value, and it's only limited to what you can create. You can't say the graphics are bad because it has such a unique art style, and the whole game hinges on the items you yourself scan into it.

The most common reasoning I see from people that don't want it is "it doesn't look like my type of game", and that's about all you can say. Fair enough.

I have a 360 so i suppose i fall into that category? It's a glorified map editor. That's what I've been calling it day 1, don't see the big deal with it.

actually.. no you dont, youre not bashing the game, youre saying that the beta version has bugs and framerate problems this isnt bashing the game since its a preview and the game was and is months away

I think he means that it requires the player to create the gaming experience since the true meat of the game is in the user generated content.

As far as being simple, I don't think I would agree with his assessment. As with most user generated content based programs, the end result can be as simple or complex as the creator desires.

Im pretty sure i have, Lil big planet looks like a kiddy exclusively builder game with no real content cause the devs were lazy and want the users to make the content.

you cant even really totally recreate the game your basically stuck making set peices and set techniques.

...I thought I was bashing it...but w/e. I still need to see some major improvements from that game, I really hope I did indeed take what Peter said about it being done too literally, because as of right now it looks horrible to me.

It seems to be like it's always been more hermit territory.

Cows: "It's a level editor!"

Hermits: "We've had more powerful tools that do the same things for years."

I know what he meant, but there are also non-user created levels as well. Everyone overlooks that fact.

I bought it because like most former PS2 owners I believed the PS3 is the one and only successor to the PS2. And it totally isnt. The XBOX360 is. Sony fooled me. But ofcourse I wont sell it. Games like little big plant and FF Versus 13 will keep me happy I suppose. Thats assuming ofcourse FF Versus 13 wont go to the XBOX360 which undoubtfully would be the better version.Dahaka-UK
