Because the PS3 and 360 might as well be the same console. There's not enough difference between them, IMO, to own both. TimeToPartyHardright, but, does culdcept or ff13 win?
Are you kidding!?
Why wouldn't someone buy all the systems, lets find out:
Wii: $250
360: $400
PS3: $500
PC: $1000
DS: $130
PSP: $170
In all, you would spend more then $2500 after tax ON THE SYSTEMS ALONE! Most people are just not willing to shell out that much cash.

I own all but a good PC (just have a mac book for work) and a DS. Am I kidding? Nope just a fool. What do they say about a fool and his money... :P

Most people who do own all systems don't buy them all at the same time.
What's the point on buying all 3 systems really? I believe if you want to have multiple systems this gen it's PSWii or Wii60. No point in getting PS360 or PS360Wii.
I rather stick to a single system and spend money on other things (need a new TV badly) because if I bought a PS3 and a Wii and a few games for each, I'd be broke by the end of the month.
Don't get me wrong, I'd love to own all three consoles but sadly im not made out of money.
Cause I don't s*** money, and really have no need for them all? >_>
There hasn't been a single generation where I bough more then one console, and it started with the NES...
Because I cannot afford to buy every system and support every system we are talking thousands of $'s here. I also have other hobbies that I spend money on, a baby to take care of and buy stuff for, bills and other expenses I gotta take care of. Ya I guess if I was making $150,000 a year I might be able to afford all systems but I don't.
Because I don't have a lot of money and at least I know that the PS3 will still be putting out kick butt games well into the future. The Wii is for kidsand the games get old very fast and in the future Iwould a system that has maybe3 or4 decent games a year I think if I was 9I might feel different. The Xbox 360 is good nowbutI don't want a consul that will peak in the next 2 years with almost no backwards compatibility and does not up convert DVD's.
What makes me choose a console is what exclusive games it has, and deciding which exclusives I would rather play.
I'd love to buy them all, but I just don't have the money. I'll probably be able to get a 360 within a couple months; and maybe in a year or so I might be able to get a Ps3, but its not likely.
I plan on owning them all. I currently own a Wii, DS Lite, and a gaming PC.
I'm getting a PSP in January and a 360 in December.
After that, it'll be time to upgrade my PC, and then I'll go from there. PS3 is a must-have, but not right now or in the near future.
Currently, I'm pursuing more retro systems. I've got a Neo Geo Pocket Color with 24 games on the way, and I'm thinking about getting a Neo Geo MVS 6-slot arcade system.
I'm also looking into the Neo Geo AES, the Atari Jaguar, and the 3DO.
spending $1500 on consoles is not really smart... these consoles have bad resell value which will tank in a few years. Overall video games are a horrible investment so why wouldnt you buy for value? If you want to buy something nice... spending the money on a nice watch or something that will retain of appreciate in value.
on system wars i see alot of fan boys out there . they dont want the system they dont have or they dont got the money or whatever. but theres alot of console hate out there. but what makes you pick the system you did and what makes you not buy another.deadmeat59
