I also have a gaming PC BTW, which I also use regularly. Regardless, I still find plenty to play on my consoles.

Regarding your Halo 3 and multiplayer, WoW is an MMO (multiplayer) and SCII is heavily multiplayer oriented. It all just comes down to preference.

Pretty much this, most PC games are multiplat or at least on 360 as well. Plus TC apparently believes spending tons of time grinding away in WoW makes it a better game just because of it, like how playing Iron Man 2 is better than the movie because its longer.

Really though, I own a gaming PC, and I love it. But it doesn't give me access to AAA console exclusives. Silly argument is silly - there is always a reason to go manticore.

Yeah look at some of the top games of 2009: Uncharted 2, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Assassin's Creed II, Demon's Souls, Killzone 2 and Halo: ODST and Modern Warfare 2.

You'll notice that U2 wasn't on PC and neither were Killzone 2, Demon's Souls (GS GotY) or that expensive Halo expansion we all still play. Just as well, ACII came out on PC later and MW2 was no different then the console iteration.

PC still has great games best played on it (like Starcraft II), but even if a game like Dragon Age is less stellar on consoles I don't think someone would flip out over a few differences and go buy a $2000 rig for one game.

Maybe because they don't want their life sucked up and chewed on and then spewed out by WoW, and don't like strategies. Sims, sure, Ill give you that, but it does not last 3-8 years, maybe one year. and then we got the games for the consoles, and they last alot longer than you said they are, besides there are so many more, Demon's Souls, LittleBigPlanet, Forza 2 and 3, Gears of War, Alan Wake, Limbo, New super mario Bros. Wii, Zelda Twilight Princess, Metroid Prime 3, and that's not near all of the quality exclusives for the systems.

Sims - kind of a crappy game imo, who would spend 3-8 years playing it is beyond me.

Also, for those 50 years of playing 3 games which is impossible.The technology would be too advanced to play on a computer.

the main draw to PC gaming for me building my own. it's like a car nut, every once in a while add something, tweek something to give you better performance. I enjoy the hardware part more than the software part. the consoles I play for the games and for the fun, PC I play for the horsepower.

^every new PC build should have a GTX 460 1GB with it. it's this gen's 8800GT.

You dont know anything about computer hardware...lol those are all very solid pretty high quality hardware. Asus is specifically made for overclocking...and the i5 is good for overclocking.

build me a computer for under 1000 dollars, that will play all games right now at maximum, a good monitor with high resolution, good mouse, good keyboard, OS...*i dont have a good monitor, keyboard, or mouse, or OS*

all so it has to play all games in 2-3 years at max as well.

I prefer to play different games and not stick to the usual ones for years. so it's not a problem at all if they're short, on the contrary I get to play and finish many different games like that.

Simple answer: Genres.

I am not a manticore, but having all systems really aint a downside :\

Consoles: Music games, sports games, beat em ups, Jrpgs, Platformers

PC: Adventure games, Wrpgs, RTS, fps, sims.

That is pretty much how Ive broken up my gaming habits, As much as I loathe playing a fps on a console (part controle scheme, part hallway shooter) I equally loathe playing a beatém up on PC.

The strengths and weaknesses on each platform are so aperrant that this thread is somethiong I would write off as "pure fanboyism" Ofcourse the 360 and PS3 are still trying to fill the same space, making both of them less appealing then one and a wii, or pc.
