404'd makes perfect sense to me. Anyways its probably been in development since the abortion that was GT5, would be a waste of time moving to Ps4 now. $ON¥ would have loved another year or two with the Ps3 but Nintendo and MS forced its hand.
GT & GT 2 were on PlayStation GT 2000 / GT 3 and GT 4 were on PlayStation 2 GT 5: Prologue / GT 5 / GT 5 (XL) and 6 on PlayStation 3. Makes sense, since each system saw the releases of 2 'main games' in the series.

There are no other Sim racers on consoles that's why. Also you can become a professional racer by playing it extensively and no other Sim racer achieves that.

Answer is quite simple: GT series sales - Over 60 million >>>>> Forza's sales. That's why it's still and will continue to be relevant untils sales and scores prove otherwise.
Likwise why Mario, Cod, Fifa and so forth are still relevant no matter how long they've been around or how better the competition is or isn't.

It's very telling that $ony don't seem to have the funds behind them to showcase their flagship series on their next generation console. It makes me wonder what support the PS4 will get in it's most important early days. Will it be a wasteland like the early years of the PS3 ? It's certainly looking that way :?
