[QUOTE="pp222"]Yeah, PC is the king of FPS, RTS and MMORPG.Another uninformed arrogant console gamer.
And? If i want to play a shooter there's plenty on 360 and i dont give a crap about RTS & MMORPG.
Really, PC sucks on varity, Sure it has FPS, RTS and MMORPG but beyond those genres it has almost nothing. I'm a Wii60 guy and with Wii60 i can get all the genres i want. I can get platformer and adventure games (Mario Galaxy, Zelda TP, Super Paper Mario, Kameo, Banjo 3, Sonic Secret Rings, etc), fighting games (SSBB, DOA4, Virtua Fighter 5, Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi, Fight Night Round 3, etc), Racing games (PGR3, Forza 2, Excite Truck, Burnout 5 & Revenge, Mario Kart - Nintendo will make one eventually for Wii, ), RPG (Fire Emblem, Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, etc), Party Games (Mario Party 8, Rayman Raving Rabbids, Monkey Ball Banana Blitz, etc) and lots of shooters on 360.
I currently own a Wii and will get a 360 very soon (Mostly for Banjo 3). When i get a 360 it will together with my Wii open up a huge collection of games released and soon to be released for me to choose between from various different genres. If i choose PC i would have had to limit myself to FPS, RTS, MMORPG and a very limited selection of games from other genres (With no famous tittles such as Zelda in that limited selection).
No thanks, i choose consoles. With that i can get games from all kinds of genres and wont have to use a huge amount of money to get an expensive PC. Console gaming FTW!

For some reason...I...can't seem to...care...
I post here in leisure time and sometimes to wind down after gaming. It's certainly not because I have nothing to play.
I hate it when arrogant hermits show up and proclaim the PC as a godly gaming machine that single handedly destroys all the so called "inferior" consoles. News flash! It isn't the best thing since sliced bread. No matter how many AAA's the PC has, there are still a huge number of console games you will be missing out on. Despite the fact that the PC is "king" of the RTS genre it still can't make me like RTS games. PC is the king of FPS? Well it might be, but I'd still rather play them on a console. I don't care about "teh better aiming" you can get with the mouse.
The PC is godly and it > everything else. It has the most AAA games and it is the King of all genres. For some reason...I...can't seem to...care...

PC has the most recognized RPGs of all time - and the every multiplat ends up being better on PC When I say simulation, I mean everything from GTR2 (racing simulator) to Spore to Flight Sim. FPS games may number on the Xbox, but only one stands out (Halo, yeah!). While the PC has nearly 10 famous franchises with hundreds and hundreds of third party games. I can compare the number of AAA games. From Q3 2001 to the launch of the Xbox 360, PC had more AAA exclusive and non-exclusive games than any other system -- COMBINED. For your comment on "lack of variety", we have the most genres out of all the systems. The only one we don't have is 3d fighters. And you are not an arrogant PC gamer? RPG - Since when is the PC the king of RPG games? There's a ton of RPG games on consoles. I think you're mixing RPG with MMORPG. If not, please explain yourself. Simulation - You mean like The Sims? That's virtual life games. Anyway, the PC has most virtual life games but it's not the king. There's virtual life games on consoles too such as Animal Crossing and Viva Pinata. It has a superior collection of them, yes, but it's not the king. If you mean like Flight simulation - Yeah, it's definetly the king of those kind of simulation games but that's not really a big genre and nothing to be that proud of. FPS - Yes, it has a superior collection of FPS. The 360 has so many shooting games i couldnt really care about the few the PC has exclusive when the 360 has so many tough. And i prefer playing FPS with a controller, it's more fun than "teh ultimate Mouse & keyboard combination" will ever be. Having fun > Winning. RTS & MMO - No debate, the PC wins. I can admit it. Personally i don't really care about either genre tough. You can't compare the amount of AAA the PC has to consoles. Consoles are around for about 4 - 6 years while PC has been around since like almost the start of gaming. Also, most of the PC's AAA's are from the same genre's so while you will have fun playing them you will start wishing there was more variety. The PC is lacking many major genres. It only has a few of the major racing and fighting games while the collection of platformers and adventure games it has is downright pathetic. Consoles wins, unless you want to limit yourself to 3 genres that is.

That's a pretty valid way to look at it. :) Just watch out for the flaming. ;)dgsag....And he said hermits dont post on these boards.
[QUOTE="Svarthek"]The only reason I still have a PC is for it's versatility. I won't have one for much longer. Microsoft's monopoly is faultering, they are no longer the present nor the future. They are simply a company now, and we are finally free to rid our need of them.dgsagWhere are you going to check your email, surf the web, type up reports, etc, etc? :| On my PowerBook
well tell me what games are out for pc that are worth buying besides 2-10 year old games ???
you cant do it all you can do is list stalker which looks like a nes game or crysis which look like its going to be all graphics no gameplay, it wont score higher then 7.5

If you haven't noticed, PC gamers rarely post here, start arguments, or complain about graphics, games, or who's better. Of course there a few who do, but compared to the amount of lemmings and cows, they are practically absent from SW.Mmmm.. Starcraft.
Here is why:
PC Gamers have all the games they need, and the above were just a few examples.
PC is the king of:
FPS (counter-strike, unreal tournaments, quake, tribes, half-life 2, and others, not to mention a mouse+keyboard)
RTS(starcraft, warcraft, rise of nations, age of empires, and others)
MMORPG( WoW, FFXI, Guild Wars, and others)
PC Gamers are simply too busy playing great games to bother posting on SW. And it's funny how even though hermits have the most powerful machine, they play 10 year old games like starcraft and counter-strike the most, while lemmings and cows complain about graphics 24/7. Hermits simply don't care. If a PC gamer ever needed the console experience for his action/adventure and single player RPG game needs, all he would need to do is drop $100 on a ps2. Why even bother partcipating in next-gen if counter-strike is still always going to beat halo everytime, no matter how shiny masterchief gets.
I own a 360, and got Gears because with the scores and hype it got you would be stupid not too. Chainsawing people brought a smile to my face the first time i did it, now my 360 has been collecting dust for about a month now, and when i do play it, i play rainbow six. So now i understand why lems post so much on SW, its because they have nothing to play. Cows post alot too, but obviously for the same reason. Hermits dont post, because they are busy having fun, which is pathetic because all they have to do is alt+tab to post on here.
I don't like to sound like a fanboy, but to every cow and lemming out there, if your console is so great, why arn't you playing it right now instead of spending hours on SW?

Why Us PC gamers are never on SW. is because our games, no matter how they look, Are BETTER then any FS3, X-360 or wii game will.. EVER be. no matter what the graphics, genre, anything.. And im talking about games that were/ are ONLY for PC.... :D PC FTW !!!! lol. and i also have a wii... and a 360... PCWII60muhamaghat
