I'm split between Wii and Wii U games that I have bought. Lego City Undercover was really fun. New Super Mario U and Luigi U are both great platformers. I also purchased Skyward Sword and Galaxy. Maybe I'm just past the point in my gaming life where I want to play first person shooters. I'm looking forward to Donkey Kong and Smash bros

Wait, you don't have a ps3?

Should have gotten a ps3 instead. Better and more games than a Wii U atm.

Maybe, but the PS3 controller is ass.

Lol, u wot? Strong exaggeration. So you are going to miss out on a console because its controller isn't as good as the Wii U tablet? Sorry but no. Even though I agree that the wii u tablet controller is better than the dualshock 3, the ps3 is still the miiiilessss better console atm.

He could just pick up a PS4 controller if he wants since it works with pretty much all ps3 exclusives worth owning. He already has a 360 for multiplats.

I just want a gaming system. I don't want to share videos or have a multimedia hub or have a kinnect. The leap in graphics now is just so miniscule that it doesn't matter anymore. I love playing fun games. Nintendo makes the best first party games of any company and they aren't first person shooters to boot. Added bonus, its a Wii also. I can go back and play all the classics that I missed from owning a 360. Overall very happy with the system and the gamepad functionality is really great especially with apps like amazon instant video.

1.The Wii has those features

2.What FP companies make tons of FPS games? Outside of Sony's 3-4 I see two franchises,

3.Then why were you complaining about number 1

@DocSanchez: the. ps4's library isn't much to brag about lol at least the Wii u has exclusives that warrant a purchase compared to buying a system for hardware alone.

the wii u has been out for a year and has maybe 2 games that are great exclusives.

And it pretty much NEEDS exclusives since most 3rd party devs either aren't willing to touch it or they release half-assed ports that are missing content.

All I can say is that I have 48 games now for the Wii U. My brother has 3 games for his PS4. Although both systems are getting a lot of playing time here, there's simply far FAR more to play on Wii U.

the Wii U has 48 games?

Yup! Probably a good 60+ being that there are still a lot of games I don't own yet for the system.

lol all the people saying wii missed out on all that good games other machines have- im glad you liked 100 generic fpses , I own all consoles except ps4 and will get that on my bday , that said my entire 360 collection eats dust except a few games why because either 1-to many are generic fpses 2 no one plays them online any more , why would I enjoy a console whos library mostly consist of the same genre --- ya id take wii over it any day ps3 and 360 are the same just with different brands and one actually has support while the other has the same games every year that's the only difference

that being said , -- wiiu is a great platform it should be everyones secondary system if it cant be the primary because 1 and ps4 are just to similar , if you like ms exclusives get a x1 if you like sonys better get a ps4 but one things for sure nintendos consoles always make good secondary consoles , they always get good games from Nintendo without a doubt and some unique ones from third parties as well , you know ones you cant find else where-red steel zack and wiki, zombie u are some examples of that

@mariokart64fan: Your post is completely illogical. You claim you own every console, yet you write off every console except wii u as having "100 generic fpses", which is not only boringly inaccurate (the usual crap) but also doesn't make sense.

You claim the wii u has the best library, yet can't be a primary console? You're all over the place. Because you talk shite. Just another one eyed sheep.

So my most recent system purchases each generation was N64, xbox, xbox 360 and now the Wii U. So why did I buy the Wii U? I just want a gaming system. You get any gaming system primarily for the exclusive games. There may be other incentives, but that's generally what matters the most to us people.

Saying you don't care about media functionality and then praising Amazon's video app is silly.
