I'm confused. When xbl had its issues with cod4 and Halo3, didn't xbL go down ALL together. Meaning NO activity on xbl. For the life of me, the only thing I remember having issues was mw2 on psn. Maybe I'm missing something here lol.
And also has geow2 got its issues fixed yet? That question is there to show most games online issues come from the game and its devs and NOT our services ie xbL or psn. If psn couldn't handle mw2, well then psn itself would have went down. And if it did I guess I blinked or something.

This is what is known as selective memory. Gee, just about a month ago, Borderlands didn't work. There were issues with a 1st party online only game, meaning, the game was unplayable which is ridiculous considering it was a big IP with big expectations (Socom).
Valid point, but the service and the developers both have a hand in the issue. Broken matchmaking is usually a dev issue. Being unable to load into a match is a service issue.
Socom was unplayable? Geez, I must have been dreaming then, cause I played through the beta, until just yesterday practically, atleast I thought I had lol. Also broken match making and loading into a match are different? Bottom line is that IW's servers through demonware was down for the ps3, psn itself wasn't down. Our services is a pipe to a particular game, the functions of the game and how well it works is all up to the devs, and how well it was tested prior to launch. And while Socom did have issues, the game was definitly playable and NO one including me ever stated that /6 was top notch devs lol. So once again most issues with a games functions online are usually dev issues and their backbone at their end. Hence, borderland dev's patching, /6 patching and epic patching to get their games working properly.
And when I was stating the only issues was mw2, I was stating about how psn was functioning as a whole during mw2's issues, I wasn't talking about other games issues.
