Why Include the PC in a PS3 and 360 Argument About Exclusives?

Taking a look at arguments, people usually when a game is on 360 and not on PS3 they usually say I can play it on my PC so it does not count as exclusive. But then PS3 fanboys say HA ha we got Final Fantasy 14 and it is exclusive and 360 gamers can not play it, so they just contradict themselves. Also be aware that PS3 fanboys are playing on "Microsoft" Windows... so yeah. Why even include PC in a argument?

FFXIV is a multiplat, just like L4d or Mass Effect.

People contradict themselves all the time. It's come to the point where it shouldn't be counted as an exclusive if it's on the PC but people argue that it helps whatever console it's exclusive to. There's no way to get a definitive answer to this crisis because people want leverage anytime there's a heated debate over their platform. Both sides do it all the time.

They dont own it, but most games run on Microsoft Windows, which is their software... you dont see games on Linux, and you rarely see games on Mac OS.

if youre talking ps3 library v 360 library pc/360 games count but they are not 360 exclusives so if youre simply comparing exclusives they dont count

of course the pc counts, however like you said "this is system wars" that statement is flawed in so many ways..because if a fanboy in general wants to slam another system saying why it's worse or how is it better then X system then it's a "war between those two systems. you just can't toss in a pc, or any other system at the last moment if one side starts to loose face.

We may as well close SW down and just say it's void due to many flaws.

First of all you cant get all caught up in the "exclusive" "multiplat" talks in system wars... remember, they're just battle terms used by people to feel comfortable in this forum to help them sleep at night. The point is, it doesnt change the fact that if you're just a 360 owner or ps3 owner you're not playing the game that happens to also show up on PC.

People look at the "360/pc" debate with such intensity and yet it bears very little weight on the desician of the buyer in the majority of consumers when a game is also on PC.

Im not saying people dont play on PC but that whole epidemic of ps3 owners all saying they also have top end rigs a la Bioshock days, is bogus, even if half of those people were telling the truth, the majority of people who bought bioshock or will buy ME2 or whatever, will heavily lean on the console.
