Why Include the PC in a PS3 and 360 Argument About Exclusives?

PC is a platform, agruably the best platform. I have one, many SW posters do. Deal with it.

Microsoft earns no royalties from PC games. Hence why they are cheaper, so how can PC not be involved? It is a system that plays games.

Why include the PS2 and even the PSP in an arguement about 360 vs PS3 exclusives like lemmings do?

Exclusive means only one one system, be it PC, PS3, 360, wii etc

System wars, not console wars. Every faction tries to exclude the pc when it makes their system looks better, when in reality PC has the best graphics and the most plentiful and varied exclusive lineup.

No one wants to hear about the PC because most of us don't want to hear someone talk about a game they can't even run properly, yet choose pictures from the strongest PCs when talking about how awesome the graphics are despite the fact they're playing it in black and white since their systems can't handle it. Seeing as there are so many PC gamers here, I can understand it being included, but for all intensive purposes most people game on consoles and really couldn't care less about what's going on in PC land because we aren't going to invest in a system that costs the same as all three current platforms plus.

It's nothing personal, but we really don't care about the PC format because it's too much of a hassle so it doesn't even enter our equations. Then a PC guy pops up with his pocket protector and is all "hey I got a new processor" and we gotta lay the smack down.

Actually, more "gaming PC's" have been sold since the release of the 360 than all the consoles combined. Looking at around 200 million.

It's also intents and purposes :P

I don't think that the PC is no longer relevant when talking about exclusives, unfortunately.

I hope that PC gaming recovers in 2010, although Final Fantasy XIII will piss on it.

cuz exculsives means you cant play it in another platform.

neither of FF14, ME2, and splinter cell are exclusives anyway.

you can play them at other platform with same or better quality.

Why because it gives xbox 360 fanboys more juice to attack ps3 fans with. Reason why they viciously stopped mlb 09 the show from claiming that AAAE and parade around as if pc doesn't exist. Same reason why ps3 fans hype up every exclusive, etc.

I dont think PC gamers consider themselves to be part of this console war. When you think of a console war, you think of most powerful system and graphics. Obviously PC wins. PCs are just here to slap some sense into the console guys who think theyre latest exclusive is a Crysis killer. Thats all.

Yeah neither do I, it's not a console, it's obsolete when talking about PS3/360 stuff hence console war. L4d2 exclusive to the 360, FF14 exclusive to PS3, especially when taking about a CONSOLE WAR.

That's great speculation that you are using there, just because a PC is capible of playing games at a high end doesn't mean that person is using it for that.

If there is topic ps3 vs X360,when it comes to games if cows start to lose their ground they bring a little help called pc as argument :D...and if it goes the other way around lemms bring theie little friend called pc too and say you dont have gfx king pc has it :) either way pc wins until we clear this thing:is there console gfx king and console exclusive or not,everywhere it counts except on SW its not...

That's great comprehension you have there. I simply stated more "gaming PC's" have been sold. I was simply offering a counterpoint to his "most people game on consoles" remark.

Doesn't mean everybody is using a PS3 to play games either. It makes a great standalone Blu-Ray player.

This is untrue if we look at developer habits.

This is untrue if we look at global userbases.

The PC is simply more popular for gaming. That's a fact.

as a proud owner of a pc and ps3, and friend of people with 360's and wii's, i have to say that i am happy with my decision to get a pc and ps3. after i beat gears2, the only thing i was really interesting in on 360 was castle crashers....and thats coming to ps3. the only thing i hope is that the new splinter cell will somewhat run on my pc. plus, im a music major.....so i hardly get time to play video games as it is....so its not like im missing out on much not having a wii or 360, but i do have a really good blu ray and game console and an acceptable laptop. but no system is worse than any other(pc could be if it was worth less than 400usd) i dont get why people get so heated about this stuff.
