Why is everyone assuming that the PSP2 is going to be bad?

-Multiple MGS games have been on the PSP for a long time.

-RE (1-3) are playable via PSx2PSP (with RE portable still a WIP)

-KH: Birth by Sleep is available on the PSP K series (not on the PSN atm)

The PSP2 should be good, but if there adding two analog sticks I hope there a better quality than the PSP one, horrible little cheap piece of crap, I think mines going to snap of soon

I'm easily gonna get PSP2 if it's a smartphone and has some big named retail games.

The thing is, Nintendo has every well known developer working for 3DS. Nintendo has captured both the casual and the core market in the handheld space.

Nobody can say that PSP2 "sucks" but considering what we know of 3DS, the chance of especially Sony outdoing Nintendo is out of the question.

The dual analogue controlls are outdated so anybody who wants them in their handheld system is conservative, not traditionall, we are past that point. The touch screen combination is waaaay better as it already has opened up for such great gameplay present on DS.

Ive had a total of 3 PSP's. I currently own the Star Wars Darth Vader edition one... I haven't found any games enjoyable other than Socom Fireteam Bravo 1/2, Ratchet and Clank Size Matters, and Need for Speed Most Wanted. I dont use it for Music because i have multiple MP3 playing devices, and it sucks to watch movies on. I guess most the time i compare it to the DS which i find to be a much better handheld system.

The main reason i keep it around is because its hacked :P

haters gonna hate fitted pretty well. ironically Nintendo showed pretty good how you can increase you sales extremly with just another gen :/

If anything the fact that they stood there ground and the psp sold rather well shows they should stick around in the handheld market.

I think because the general consensus is that the PSP was a fail in comparison to the DS and its success. we are judging it based on its predecessor whether fairly or notWadeFan

By your logic nintendo's gamecube was dead last in caonsole sales so the wii should have also been last as well. Yes the psp2 will have to go up against the 3ds but just because the psp lost does not mean the psp2 will. Sony should learn that price is a big factor as well as backward compatibility. If the psp2 sells for less it should do well as seen from the wii the most powerful does not always win.
