If you want cross-thingamajigs between PC and 360, then you should be able to use those features, certainly. But me, not giving a **** about any of that, would rather not have this POS shoved down my throat.

I've never had a problem with GFWL, it's certain superior networkingto some independant solutions such as...ahem....IWNet....
And also i've never found it that buggy, it runs smooth, doesn't resource hog and is useful for keeping saves and chatting with other friends with an in-game client.
Sure Steam offers a similar service and most of the same features. However, if the future of PC Gaming is to be digital distribution, which it looks like it's going to be for the most part; we don't want all of our eggs in one basket (Steam). Having multiple "stores/shops" to choose from promotes competition, and should ensure we don't get raped by Steam in the future if it becomes too dominant, you never want a monopoly in software. It is indeed ironic i'm pledging fair support for a Microsoft software tool against the monopoly of another's :P
Give GFWL time and it may flourish into a great service. Sure it's had a few teething problems, but for the most part after all the updates, it's pretty solid now for most people. And the GFWL Marketplace clientis definitely interesting. I would like to see more games up on the Games On Demand list, such as Halo 1 and 2 for a start.
I like GFWL... in fact if I have a choice, I opt for it, with my PC game purchases.
I like being connected to Live on my PC (when gaming) earning achievements towards my gamerscore yet getting to play a superior version of the game. I've never had a problem with it not working properly.
There is nothing wrong with GFWL. People hate it because it requires a few extra steps in getting your game to run. The only GFWL game i own is DoW2 and I have had NO problems with it. It is just one more thing people like to use to act like PC gaming is bad.I bought Dirt 2 off steam last weekend as it was half price. amazing game by the way.But to play you have to set up a GFWL account. id seen lots of hate for it on forums and was expecting something awful.
but i really like it and can't see why it attracts so much hate. in my opinion it was better than steam. ok i can't buy games through it. but the look and feel of GFWL was way better than steams 'cheap' look.
playing Dirt 2 on my PC with a 360 pad and GFWL felt like i was playing my 360 but with much better graphics.

Microsoft tried to charge PC gamers for online play, but PC gamers were too smart to pay. MS has shown their true colors.its a giant pain in the ass....I bought Fallout 3 for my PC just to play bout with and i found it to be annoying.I much prefer steam its a much better setup end of even xfire is better.I only used it once or twice and never again.
Also it left a bad taste with a lot of PC gamers especially at the start when PC gamers were charged to use it if im not mistaken.

GFWL is the biigest POS ever.
GFWL only gives you 15 activations per game. Microsoft doesnt tell you this up from but that is the truth. Let me give you an example of what i mean. If I were to buy GTAIV from steam it slready has securom which is a form of DRM. Im fine with securom because for GTAIV it allows you to install it on an unlimited amount of computers. The problem is that GTAIV requires you to use GFWL to play the game. This means that you can only install GTAIV 15 time max and that is with logging in with the same GFWL account every time. So once you install any GFWL game 15 time you dont have any activations left anf cant play thr game. There is no option to revoke you activations either when uninstalling the game unlike there is with securom that has activation limits. Thats the main reason I dont buy GFWL games. Google it if you dont belive me
Do you seriously need to reinstall 15 times?GFWL is the biigest POS ever.

It's not fallout 3 but the fact you can really navigate it with the mouse. you need a 360 controller for it to work well.so...the only problem is fallout 3? not much else has been mentioned you had a problem with how fallout 3 worked...and that equals instant GFWL isn't good.

that not true, some dev only give you 15 but other games like dirt 2 tied the key to your account meaning you can play that game on as many computers as you like, just many people don't like games tied to accounts for some reason so most use the dumb machine activations.GFWL is the biigest POS ever.

You guys must not know how to use GFWL, I have two accounts on mine, an offline one and one with my xbl gamer tag. And I can use both to save games if I want to. My saves never got deleted or anything like that. And if you want to save your saves you can do that as well. The only thing I dont like is that you cant join a part chat, only the regular voice chat.
