I have a PS3 and I've played Uncharted, COD4, Virtua Fisgter and GTA4. When I play GTA 4 and and Rotate the camera around Niko when he's walking around all the background and textures get blury. How come none of the other games I've played do that. The only other time I've seen this was on the 360 while playing Gears and Overlord.

By the way I'm playing on widescreen monitor 1024x 768 pixels. I'm also connected to my monitor using hdmi/dvi. I usualy play in 1080i but GTA 4 looks horrible in that but all the other games look good. So I switched to 720p for gta and it got a little bit better but not much.

Is this a problem with the game or something I'm doing wronge with the settings?

I guess you could call it that but none of the other games I've played do that. Uncharted and COD4 look crisp and clear.

I bought a 360 a while back and every game I played on it did that too.

Welcome to the world of grit. That's what games look like nowadays. GTA4 looks worse because it's bigger.

Mine doesn't look blurry, but there definitely is motion blur. It definitely didn't look right when I popped it in, but I messed with the in-game settings and my tv's settings and now it looks stellar.

It's a pretty messy game visualy. It seems to have 0x AA or AF.

When they make a PC version that'll be fixed.

Really? Mine looks fine on a 57" HDTV. I don't see a lot of aliasing.

The game does have alot of aliasing,no matter what TV you have. Stop moving for a second and just look at your surroundings.

I can see aliasing in games. Halo 3 and HAZE are 2 games that have jaggies out the wazoo, but GTA IV isn't very jaggy. Do you even own a PS3 or 360? What's your gamertag or PSN username?

GTA IV looks really blurry on day time (in-game time) its something to do with your HDTV or anything else, its the game's performance thats doing that.

To me it appears that GTAIV is using filmscreen noir.

If you've ever played Mass Effect for the PC, they have an option to turn it on and off.

Trust me, it looks a hell of a lot better with it on.

GTA IV on the 360 uses 2x temporal AA with v-sync.
I think the PS3 version has no AA. (Correct me if I'm wrong).

rotate the camera in uncharted, it does the same thing. it's motion blur, it adds to sensation of speed or dizziness.

Ya I am not a big fan of motion blur. It seems like every game you play is trying to be like the matrix or something.
