OP, I know when I had a 360, Gears wasn't not even close to a 9.6 game and it disappointed me with enemies getting stuck on walls and open door ways that weren't passable, so ease up on R2. Also the 360 old dash board anyway was very laggy when switching blades to find what was hidden in that mess. Also the old market place was just horrible to find games and to navigate through it compared to the ease of use the ps store has had now for quite sometime. The 360 also has its optical audio built onto the cable assembly and not onto the mother board of the 360. Also when unpackaging the 360 to see those AA batteries fall out felt very nostalgic to say the least lol. If the 360 impressed you then, the ps3 should be blowing your mind lol.
Downloads are about the same for each, install is the only difference really so either one your not going to be playing the demo right when you decide to download it so chill and relax and grab a sandwich while your waiting lol.
And the controller really doesn't take that long to charge, prolly would have been charged by the time the demo downloaded if not sooner, and also you can always do like me and use your usb cord on your cable box's usb slot. That way it is always charging and don't have to worry about keeping your ps3 on to charge it when needed, which my ps3 has stayed on months at a time with no issues:) Also the controller being dead, well was only your fault lol, and it would take me ages to find batteries or maybe run to the store if I had a 360 to buy batteries for if it died lol, so feel good it was nothing but plugging in a usb cable:)
P.S I loved that howard cossell head set aswell with the dog leash attached, I almost lost a ear from throwing my controller lol.
