You said in your earlier post that Nintendo never made anything with superior graphics. This is clearly wrong as all their past systems either broke new ground or were powerhouses in their day.

However, as a business decision, they've decided that graphics have reached a saturation point and that most people don't need top of the line machines to have fun playing games... judging by their position in the market, they were right.

And don't kid yourself, MS and Sony's game divisions would kill to switch places with Nintendo if they could.

Same can be said on every other systems. All the list fanboys bombard this forum with on the 360, I only got 5 games total (2 with the box).

What I think the guy you are bashing is trying to say is that Nintendo can't compete this gen in graphics. The PS3 and 360 are just about a gen ahead in the graphics department above the wii. Besides the graphical distance between older Nintendo consoles and its competition wasnt nearly aparent as it is with the wii. Any one trying to make it seem that way is just nit picking.

No your right the Wii doesn't target people who don't understand what the term target means do they. By target it means each console will have at least a few games that will appeal to casuals and less "hardcore" gamers, such as Buzz on PS3 and Scene It on 360, every company wants whoever to buy their console, they don't sit down and go, ok who are marketing the console for? Aged 13-30 males! Or under 10's and over 30's, whatever, they just go, just market it as a console and show off some of the great games it has.

Back on topic. I think one of the differences is that Wii fans don't deny that the Wii is less powerfull, or that the graphics are trchnocally inferior to the other consoles. We just feel that what the Wii offers in those departments is good enough to still be enjoyable as a gaming console. Whether or not graphics are "bad" can be wholely subjective.

I am speechless, you just called Wind Waker a ugly looking game. Also MP2 may not look all that flash because its drenched in purple, but it is and I think one of the GC's best looking games as well as one of the best of the generation, although yes the Xbox had better looking ones last gen.

Okay I understand and I know "back in the day" but we're talking about now, when a new generation has come, games like crysis, uncharted, gears of war, call of duty 4, which have probably the best graphics we've EVER seen. It'll take another decade for nintendo to make games that are visually fantastic. I rest my point.
