Why is Oblivion hyped so much??

I dont know about others opinion but imo its the most immersive single player game this gen. My main save has more than 300 hours and i havent completed all the secondary quests yet.....

Its the worst of the elderscrolls series imo.
I own every game in the series and its definatly my least favorite.

Daggerfall, Morrowind and Arena all have better worlds, better storys and just are overall alot more fun.

Oblivion was so boring to me but everybody's different.

The post that bumped it made me laugh.

It's not like these games actually have a good record here at Gamespot...

The highest scoring ElderScrolls game here got an 8.7

-The battle system sucks (Yes, I have played morrowind, the highest scoring elder scrolls game)

-The quests are useless and uneventful

-There is no Online Multiplayer

-Really the only thing that you can count on is the graphics

Not to mention the other games are older than Gamespot thus they don't have the Reviews. Daggerfall is in my opinion the best Elderscrolls Game.

Oblivion was quite mediocre for an elder scrolls title, and it is indicative of the consolized and dumbed-down approach to development that Bethesda has taken recently. Morrowind was much better.
