you do realize how fundamentaly wrong and bitter you are right? Just because the PS3 has yet to surpass the 360 in terms of graphical power doesn't mean you get to make outlandish statements. You could write it like this,

"well, the ps3 promised to have all these tech advantages over the 360, like the cell's graphics and "home" but it really has been a letdown of monumental proportioins and Americans would rather pay one hundred dollars less for their console that has a much better online, and games"

There now I infused some reality for you. I like the ps3 but to call the 360 a "last gen" console is rediculous.

The Americas is the biggest most important region for video games this gen and the Xbox 360 just have the best video games to cater for these video gaming fanatics.

360 has the highest quality and calibur of games. Games like Gears of War, Halo, Mass Effect etc. are amazing franchises that can't be found anywhere else.

Multiplats are usually best on 360. Most of the time they also come out on 360 before ps3 (sometimes like 6 months or more before the ps3 version). When was the last time you heard of a ps3 port coming to the 360? Never only the other way around.

360 is cheaper and delivers a better online experience. Arguably better graphics. Bigger library of games. Better arcade games. Demos of 90% of the games that are released so you can try before you buy. Better more comfortable controller with analogs in the right position (unless you play 2-d fighting games).

I think xbox live had a huge impact this generation. It's basically a online gamers dream compared to what the other consoles offer. Gamers this generation want a fully fledged online platform where you can seamlessly invite people into your game no matter what they are doing, chat with people no matter what they are doing, send messages etc. etc.

PS3 owners brag about multimedia features all the time claiming they have the holy grail of a multimedia system... but if they actually looked and tried everything 360 has to offer they would be blown away. There are 300 movies you can watch in SD and HD and soon there is going to be 10000 when the new dashboard update hits. 360 is a windows media player extender which gives it a whole range of features. Add in all the new features that 360 is going to have... it's going to make the ps3 look like a dinosaur.

In the end it's all about the games. And if you take an unbiased look at both libraries of games 360 has more quality and quantity.
