Why is the input lag so high on the Xbox One?

I recently had a "LAN" party with 3 other friends, two of them used their Xbox Ones and myself and another used the PCs. We all played horde mode for Gears of War 4 (Thank you Microsoft for cross-play). I couldn't help but notice the xbox counterparts was simply unplayable. It is clearly not a FPS issue because digital foundary has identified GOW4 to run at a steady 30FPS. As a PC gamer, I always run my shooters at about 80-100 FPS however my other monitor which is 60hz, was more than playable after overclocking to 72hz. I know going from 100, 80 or even 72fps back to 30fps is a huge jump backwards however games like Uncharted 4 and HZD run like butter so it must be the input lag. For all those who have PCs and XONEs, is it just me or are Microsoft exclusives extremely unoptimized?

It is not the TV either because I have set them to game mode and we've tried using a monitor as well. Still the same problem. The XONE is unplayable for how choppy it is. Also we used the TVs without game mode for Uncharted 4 and HZD. Both ran like butter.

On top of that, the XB1 has this weird smell. It's kinda like onions cooked in lard. Between the legendarily bad input lag and this onion stench, it's amazing to me that anyone still plays on the system.

Yea sure when I get home however I've posted images of my PC in past posts, if you knew a thing or two about PC hardware you'd know the specs just from looking at it.

Well theres no harm in posting CPU/GPU-Z specs, As I said I will do this when I get home.

What else could it be? The game runs like a slideshow, on both a TV and Monitor and between 2 Xbox Consoles.

Yep, v-sync is the culprit in this case. Similar to the disparity between the PC and PS4 versions of SFV when it launched.

30fps usually have a 100-150ms of input lag while 60fps games have lower than 80ms.

PS4 in general have a hardware issue where the controllers have 4 frames of input lag no matter what you do and is even worse if it's wired for some reason. Another detail about the PS4 that most people don't know about is that with each controller you connect to it the latency gets higher. The Xbone doesn't has any of these issues.

PS4 games simply cannot go lower than 6.1 frames no matter what the devs do while the Xbone is well below that. The only ones that can fix this at this point are Sony and they don't give a ****. This has all the Korean Tekken players on suicide watch because since Sony are the sponsors then they are pretty much forced to play only on PS4. Meanwhile Americans and the rest don't care since these days pros just play for the money anyway.

Ultra SF4 is 4.5 on PS4.

IJ2 and MKXL are 5.2 and 5.4 respectively.

The input lag in SFV has been a major point of contention among the SF fanbase since it launched, though thankfully it's been significantly reduced.

Though really, if you think 0.1 frames in a 60fps game makes any difference, have fun with that. That's 1/600th of a second lol.

Click on their username. If there's no message space for you to post to their "wall" then they're either suspended or banned.

I've just seen a lot of misinfo or ill interpreted info regarding input lag (and display lag) lately. Didn't mean to be anal retentive, but it seems this is a new battleground for fanboys, and it's just silly.

Aside from that, I think you just need to repeatedly be an asshole beyond reason. Guys like Casharmy and Putaspongeon for example.

Technically a lot of us here do stuff that's suspension and borderline ban worthy, myself included at times. Seems you have to do it repeatedly to get shut out (or just happen do something when some random ass non-SW mod happens to be around).

But yeah, I don't think a lot of peeps here realize how lenient our regular SW mods actually are.

@Juub1990: Part of the problem with nyadc is he was banned before, so he can't come back. When you're banned, you're banned. That's how it goes. There's probably exceptions here and there though.
