im gonna be playing some of my ps3 with mouse when i get it ^^
anybody who thinks pads are better are just being silly.
i will say this. playing pc seems to drain me. consoles leave me feeling refreshed. i dont what it is....
I dont think anyone really bashes the mouse. If anything, the bashing comes from hermits yelling about game pads. Call me a dirty hethan, but 90% of the time i use a game pad with my PC. :PNinja-Vox
Very true. I actually enjoyed playing HL2 a lot more on my 360. It just felt like I had more control.
I also forgot how long and how great it was, better than Halo for sure, but I get to play both.
Mouse > Wiimote > Dual analog
I flippin' hate dual analog.
Anyone who denies that mouse is faster and more accurate is a fanboy. This is coming from someone who hasn't gamed on their PC in like 2 years.
No, no, and no. The mouse is the superior device and PC is the dominant platform. End of discussion, really.
Those that choose console basically understand their 2nd rate.

What a load of bull. DOA4, VF5, Forza 2, PGR4, Colin McCrae Dirt, Sega Rally, The Orange Box, Bioshock, Halo3, Eternal Sonata, Oblivion, CoD4, Mass Effect, World in Conflict, C&C3,GRAW2, R6 Vegas, GeoW, Crackdown, The Darkness, Guitar Hero2, PES2008, Ace Combat 6etc etc all grace my 360 or will do. That's23 great games, not exclusive, not even the very best versions, but give me 23 PC games that compete for variety and quality.

I hate never seen someone say mouse is slower and less accurate. It definitely is the best for FPS's, but people like me prefer dual analog.

ALOT of what you said will also be on the Pc. just give in. the pc is more expensive, and you get what you pay for, a better game playing device. ;)
I know the mouse is faster but I do not feel as connected to the game as much. Using a controller just feels better to me but if I was playing a game where you could use either than I would chose the mouse. But only bc I do not want to be at a disadvantage . To each his own I guess.grady01
By disadvantage I mean online play with other people just in case someone didn't catch on.
I obviously find mouse and keyboard to be the "superior" option, as in the most accurate and competitive one. I enjoy usingKb+Mouse, and some games (hello portal, how are you?) seem to be unplayable with anything else.
Still, I find I enjoy myself more sitting down or lying with a gamepad, so I usually also connect it to my PC.
For me, gamepad > Keyboard and Mouse. It's not a matter of accuracy for me. It's a matter of comfort and fun -which is the real reason why I game.

Okay so what part of my post didn't you understand? The mouse and keyboard is obviously superior to a controller. Now, you may enjoy the controller more in certain games but that doesn't make it as robust. Especially when you taunt games such as Oblivion, Orange Box, R6 Vegas, GeoW, etc in which I can map a ton more actions to my tightly nit keys than your controller.. and if I run out of hand space on the keyboard I always have several buttons on the mouse to configure. Easy stuff for more control.
The PC is obviously a dominant platform considering there are many, many more of them out there than consoles. Not to mention, there are absolutely ZERO limits to customizing PCs. Basically ANY controller is accepted, and any genre would be viable here. Devs may choose not to host fighters, but again it doesn't mean it's not the dominant platform. So basically every game you mentioned would run superior on a high-end rig.
23 games? Uhh.
You would have to include all current consoles to compare to the vast amount of PC titles. Not to mention, PC has more AA/AAAe than anything else. Such a load of bull, huh?

I feel the same way... maybe it's because you're usually closer to a PC monitor than you are to a TV, which causes more eyestrain...
I can't enjoy playing games using the mouse from my sofa and so I always use a controller.
Controllersrequire more skill to use but like anything in life, the more you practice the better you get :)

There are fewer PC's out there capable of playing games to the same quaility as the latest consoles.
I have a PC but even my PS2 runs rings around it graphically. It does me internet and email though and so I am happy with it as I have my consoles for gaming on :)

I wouldn't say its bashed, I love both controllers and M/K. A mouse is definitely the most responsive but there's something to be said for a comfy controller with rumble and a trigger too.
I think people are just fed up of PC geeks saying controllers outright suck. They both have pros and cons IMO.
I can't enjoy playing games using the mouse from my sofa and so I always use a controller.

Controllers usually require less skill in such games as FPS seeing as how you are afforded the luxary of Auto-Aim, Aim Assist, and sticky aim. M/KB is always 100% user control with no control assist at all.
wrong. the K/M is not allways no Autoaim it depends on the game there are games on teh PC *fps* that use aim assist, But then again in most FPS games i can download an aim bot that gives me head shots every time for most FPS pc games.
You can jump better in console fps and more accurate, you can do turns better and you can look up and down better, the only thing FPS have is high accuracy and thats it.

Yep, HL2 (PC) uses some subtle aim assist.

how bout you don't include pc game in you list then. well over half of those are on pc. crysis>halo, hellgate london=mass effect, havre fun waiting another few months for wic while i'm playing it
Colin McCrae Dirt, Sega Rally, The Orange Box, Bioshock, crysis, hellgate london, Oblivion, CoD4, World in Conflict, C&C3,GRAW2, R6 Vegas, GeoW, PES2008, stalker, supcom, company of heroes, unreal 3, jerico, fear, call of juraez, timeshift, the witcher, blaksite area 51, nfs pro street, kane and lynch, turning point, painkiller overdose, gtr2, race07
I could go on, pc has just as mant great games if not more as the 360 and using pc games to say the 360 has better games is just lame
Mostly because ignorant hermits spout that the mouse is always better. They fail to realize that with close range combat the mouse is largely inferior to a controller, much like the controller is inferior in long range. Few players have alot of experience with both, and tend to have a biased option based on their skills. I for example have been using a mouse for FPS for almost 12 years now while I've only been using a dual analog controller for about 5. When I first started with the analog controller I sounded a lot like the hermits praising the mouse benefits, but over time I've learned a lot and realized the advantage of both.jrhawk42
but that's not true, it doesn't matter if its close or long range the mouse will always win. unlike a gamepad you have a huge vaerity in speed, you can move really slowly or really fast
Maybe for FPS. For platformers and fighting games you need a joystick, analog stick, or a D-pad.Shadow2k6
well you can use them on pc so your point?
