Why is the Wii hated so much?

Because

1) Got amazing games , the best of the best this gen , appealing to all gamers and are exclusive to Wii.

2) Great hardware performance ,with no RRoD or "no true HD" problems.

3) Great new controller that make you sweat while playing. Thats totally unique , and makes you look thiner after an hour or two of any game.It can build strong muscles also.If that not an awesome controller then what?

4) Great sales. The other 2 are way down,into the pit. I mean , even my dog found appealing teh casuality of Wii and bought one.

5) Because Wii got GOTY. Yeah man thats it. What if cows says about 10 on MGS4 , what if x360 says 10 about GTA4 , what if they got 20 AAA games , Wii got GOTY!!! GOTY!! GOTY!! So till the next gen , wii gonna say GOTY.GOTY.GOTY.

6) Price. At first was the main reason that was appealing. Now is still appealing. The next 3 years will be even more appealing with this price (250+$$?). Why? Simply because Wii isnt just a joke company that has 100 versions of Wii , 100 different options. Its the Wii. Its like this. And it costs that much. Even in the next 20 years will cost 250 , for sure. Its the Wii..

7)Cause animal crossing is way too realistic. A developer said is a unigue , realistic world.. And then we have cows and lemmings laughing. Animal crossing is way more realistic than GTA4 - MGS4- GeoW2 - RE5 together..Check the videos.. ....Blind fanboys :(

8) Because with Wii , youre a multi-musician. Wii-music is tah best. I always wanted to be the best drummer, my dream comes true. Even if i hit ...air..who cares. Ill be the best,yeaah!!

9) Because nintendo E308 was the best conference ever in the history of E3, its a fact.

The only real breath of fresh air in terms of software so far on the Wii has been No More Heroes and Zack and Wiki, and that's third party, so I can't really credit Nintendo on that one.

It won GOTY for many reasons. Innovative levels was one of them.

There's a plethora of reasons to dislike the Wii - a lot of people here, including me, were Nintendo fans even before the Wii.Stevo_the_gamer

So if you were in charge of Nintendo when designing Wii and launching it, what would you do different? I'm not asking this in an attacking way, just curious.

Like, sure, I wish it had a more advanced graphics card and processor, but if that was necessary to keep the costs down for the motion control technology, I can accept it then.

One thing I wish they would do different is not allow so much shovelware to be released, or have some standard of quality.

Nintendo failed me this gen, and what they're doing now will determine what I think about buying their console next-gen. And I'm sure I'm not the only one that is thinking this way about them...

How could it fail you? You knew what you were buying when you bought it a Wii is not a next genation system its about as powerfull as an xbox. You want better 3ed party games get an 360

These are the regular games that are regulary on the past Nintendo systems:

Zelda , mario strikers charged, SMG, Metroid prime 3, Battalion wars 2, Fire emblem radiant dawn, Brawl, Super Paper Mario

MKWii, Mario Party, and coming soon Pikman, AC, and Sluggers.

These are ALL games on the GC and/or N64 and/or SNES and/or NES

Mostly just haters who want dumbed down console shooter number 8 million and not something innovative. Most of these people probably think halo is actually a good fps.

The wii is the only console that can actually do things last gen machines couldn't. Other than a fresh coat of paint nothing has changed in 360/ps3 world.

I hate the word innovation thanks to Nintendo. Everyone needs to know that everything on the Wii is not "innovative".

Sorry to break this to you but the controls ARE innovative. RE4 is the single biggest step in console action games in 10 years.

In terms of graphics, yes they are farther ahead. In terms of gameplay they are much farther behind (gta4, now that was really innovative gameplay!)

cuz all these people are saying its way better than the ps3/ 360 and use its good sales as an excuse...

fact is... it has no interesting games for me, worst online service, worst graphics, and worst amount of features compared to the other systems

ok, it seems that nothing i say will change your opinion. i'm happy that you have bought a wii, but you shouldnt' have to lie to yourself to make yourself feel better about buying it over a real current gen system.

games that show this are

dead rising(amount of zombies on screen)

metal gear solid4(environments, immersiveness)

gears of war (graphics and immersiveness)

bioshock(atmosphere)

while all the wii does is take last gen games and add waggle.

the wii's best game, SMG, can be played without any motion sensing use of the wiimote completely. essentially, it's a last gen game. Brawl doesn't even use motion sensing, NMH only uses it as an afterthought...

there are very very few games that actually evolve gameplay around the wiimote, such as warioware and MP3.

you see what i'm getting at here?
