Why is the X1 so expensive?

I just dont get why MS thinks it's a good value. Is it bcuz of kinect? The ps4 is $100 cheaper and is more powerful and has eyetoy included. Why is kinect so important to M$?

Alot of people forget that Sony is a hardware company and Microsoft is a software company, Sony knows how to design/build/produce hardware better and cheaper than other companies.

PS4 has superior GDDR5 RAM, has 150% better GPU, includes a mic, can upgrade HDD with any brand HDD, and doesn't force Kinect on it's gamers. 

MS just tried to screw it's gamers over with DRM, online checks, no renting, used game fees. 

Sony & the media saved your lame butts. I wish you lame Lems had to put up with it.

Kinect...it ruins everything yet again!

eyetoy is not included in $400 ps4... kinect being 1080p camera it can be $100 more

60 bones for 720p camera then you going have to spend other $30-50 on getting the move controller.

What the web cam can't be disabled and microsoft has been proven to be linked to the prism program. So all of a sudden ms is going to have your best interest at heart. If you believe that I have some high quality swamp land to sell you brah.

show me a webcam with a IR/depth in it and can do what the Kinect can do then you can compare it to one

there might also be a bit of the price going to cover their Blu-ray Disc Association licence (unless they are taking that hit entirely themselves), of which Sony are a part .
