Why is the Xbox 360 Rockband guitar $20 more than the PS3 guitar?

Both are wireless, but the 360 version is $20 more.

Doesn't Microsoft have a say on price, since it is coming to their console? Why can't they make it $20 cheaper to match the PS3's guitar price. I mean, it's not the whole package, the microphone, the game, the drums, or the bass, just the guitar, but I mean really Microsoft. Alot of people will just be buying 1 instrument/the game, just talk it over with EA and slash the price $20.

The price probably is because they had to liscense MS's wireless so that the guitar could actually be wireless.asdasd

Most likely If i recall there was a problem between M$ and Harmonix because M$ didnt want to share the wireless protocol or something

Thats exactly why its more expensive on the 360. Harmonix had to pay royalties for the wireless because its a closed wireless

$100 for a wired, wireless dongle. It sticks out and is easy to see.

a $150 HDDVD, which is a dying format.

$40 for a wired controller. $50 for wireless (standard price).

$40 for a 64mb memory card. $50 for a 512mb memory card, dunno if this is even out yet though.

$100 for a 20gb HDD. $180 for a 120gb.

$20 for a wired, flimsy headset. $60 for a wireless headset.

$40 for the piece of crap live camera.

$40 for HD cables.

$40 for VGA HD AV cables

$30 for S-video AV cable

$20 for the play and charge set

$30 for the quick charge kit

$20 for the stupid faceplates

and now $80 for a wireless guitar, when the competition's is $60. This will probably be the same for Guitar Hero 3.

The only things which I can say area good deal are: The wireless controller (standard price), play and charge kit (battery and cable), and XBOX live gold.

But that's the ONLY bundle....I don't want all that ****...I just mainly want the Guitar (and maybe the drums) Damn. Looks like that game is gonna cost me $200. It's the only logical way to purchase it. Outside the $200 bundle would cost more in the end.

Seriously, no one will buy it for the 360 if it costs that much more. The Wii version of Guitar Hero 3 in the bundle is 10 dollars less because games are cheaper though so that is a nice thing. Either way Rock Band in itself is milkage, to get the most out of the game you need the microphone, drums and guitar.

Jeez thanks for reminding me how much I got ripped off when I owned a 360... I got the core so I HAD to buy a $40 memory card right when I got it. I bought the HD cables for $40 and they didn't work. I bought a wireless controller which I ended up playing my wired controller more since it didn't have that fatass batterpack that got in the way of my fingers. Then I wanted to download demos and stuff so I shelled out $100 for a HDD... Dumbest desicion of my life.

lol Now I'm going to upgrade my PS3's HDD to a 160 GB for $95 bucks on newegg... I think you can upgrade 360s HDDs too with a notebook drive but it's harder to get to since you gotta open up that weird shell thing. Well at least my 360 never died. I just had about a dozen disc read errors on THP8 and it sorta froze a lot but no three red lights. Hopefully the little kids that I sold it too didn't get the lights either.
