Why is there no PS3 price drop?

Sony doesn't seem to care it's still being outsold by Nintendo and MS five years later. They both got a $200 system and what's Sony doing? Rather than entice millions of gamers (and now millions of pirates!) at that sweet spot, they're... no I'm actually curious, what are they doing?

No Sony is starting now to make a small profit of the PS3 hardware and has along way to go before they make back the PS2 money. Expect a 360 price drop next year I suspect because they never did one with the slim.

They have yet to figure out what else they can pull out of the system hardware wise to lowe the cost.

I rather not get a $200 PS3 and have them give me something like a 4GB drive.

Honestly if you're gonna get a console get the one with a decent hard drive, it's always worth it in the end, whether it's the 360 or the PS3.

why should they when theyre profiting and distributors worldwide have been ordering more ps3s than its hd competitor?

They have an announcement planned for December 12 after the VGA's, so that could be it. It could also be Agent or something like Uncharted 3. Maybe its some cool Home update that lets you do actual fun things on it or some sort of new IP involving zombies and aliens and cowboys.
