Why is there so much demand for Xenoblade?

I honestly don't get it. After reading about Xenoblade and watching several videos of the gameplay, I can't say I see why this game is being so passionately pursued by so many gamers. This game looks like most NIS games that have been released this gen, all of which have been mediocre at best. So why are people creating such an uproar to have this game released in the US? Why does this game appeal to you, or not?

Because Xenoblade Chronicles, The Last Story & Pandora's Tower look like the best RPG's this generation in my personal opinion. I don't own a Wii anymore, but these games look amazing to me. Unfortunately Nintendo isn't bringing them here. It would be nice to at least see Nintendo let Atlus publish them here. I would buy them to play on the Wii U.

Because not only does it look like a high quality, original JRPG its been voted on a few occassions by the Japanese gaming community as the best JRPG this gen.

It shows promise to many fans of the genre.

tho I'm not super excited for it, I would definitely buy it. It's supposed to have an awesome time (day and night) system and full customization of your character in addition to everything else other people have mentioned.

there really haven't been many awesome JRPGs this generation, and this is supposedly one of the rare few.

Completely untrue. I remember when Xenoblade was first announced as Monado & I was looking forward to it. The fact that it's coming to Europe isn't the reason North Americans are angry, we are angry because we aren't getting it. Plain & simple. I haven't heard news about Pandora's Tower or The Last Story going to Europe, yet I still would love to see them come out in North America & in Europe too. I think the more people that have the chance to play these games the better for gamers.

These games are supposed to be some of the best JRPGs to come out this generation. Although Xenoblade looks gorgeous and amazing, The Last Story is really what I want to be localized

Now,maybe I exagerated a bit on the "very few people would mention it",but before,even though I´ve heard it being talked about here before,it wasn´t anything near to what it is now,though I suppose it´s understandable.

I kinda agree,skyrim is all i need this year,but i understand ppl love their jrpgs.

It has genuinely interested me since its inception. I loved the concept, and the look of the game.

Well...maybe it's because the Brilliant minds behind Chrono Trigger are the ones responsible for making it.

I agree, I am looking forward to Skyrim more than any other game this year, but I still have a soft spot for JRPGs in my heart. I loved so many PS JRPGS (FFVII is my third favorite game ever), and there were a lot on the PS2, but this gen has really made me cynical about the genre, and I really don't see how Xenoblade is any different. While I don't think it would be a horrible game, I certainly don't understand why so many people are clamoring for it as they have.

What was completely untrue is "very few people would even mention the game in here." comment. The reason you may have not noticed people demanding it be released here is because most Nintendo fans thought that Nintendo was going to announce sometime in the future. True, it didn't come to a head until North Americans saw Europe get a release date while North Americans didn't, however this game along with Pandora's Tower & The Last Story have often been mentioned here even before Europe got a release date. I figured that the fact that Monolith has made great games that have been released in the west before, along with Mistwalker/AQ Interactive with other games in the West, at the very least I thought the west would get Xenoblade Chronicles & The Last Story.

Xenoblade is what a JRPG should be. It has a huge I mean huge overworld for the player to explore. You can easily put over 80 hours into your first playthrough including sidequests. The soundtrack is amazing and top it off with a great battle system. The Wii is really lacking in JRPG's, so far the Gamecube has had more and way better JRPG's. So yeah, I'm one of those who wants this game very bad.

Surprised i am, did black ops just recently become the best selling game for this year and it was just a bit over 3million? black ops sold over 10million in NA alone. i mean just an example but very impressive, EU also get the best boxarts. i love the EU region, WKC2 was released in there this month while NA still :(

Honestly I didn't understand why it was being pushed but after seeing a few gameplay clips on Youtube, it looks interesting and something I would try. Even Pandora's Tower looks good, honestly I would like to see on the PS3 then it would be in HD and look even better.

because they dont really wish for it to look better, they just want an excuse :P duh even my grandma knows that
