Exactly, it has 2 cool thing s about it, like a better melee than Gears and a chick for a sidekick, but it mostly looks like a rip off, plus I hate the art direction.

Everyone who doesn't understand why Uncharted 2 is being hyped, obviously never finished the first. The characters is what made Uncharted a cult-classic, and is why it's defended to the death by PS3 owners. This goes above the graphics imo. The reason everyone loved Uncharted was because of the real, fun characters and storyline. The graphics and gameplay just support that as far as i'm cocerned. GiantMuffin

I wouldn't call 2.6 million units sold a cult classic.

I think we all know Quantum Theory is going to be junk, that's why it has no hype. It looks awful.

Both systems should be trying to do different types of exclusives, not rip offs.

I finished the first. While I think the game was great, its not like one of those "OMFGWTFBBQx9000" titles, and I think ND has done better stuff than that before.

You said this would end up like KZ2, with "fresh gameplay" and a "good story." Killzone 2 had neither of those. Uncharted 2, on the other hand, definitely has fresh gameplay, but they are going to have to pull off something special to get the good story part.

Witty remarks and living a Sunday action movie through the gameplay feels perfect for me, I cant wait to hear some witty remarks from Drake as the game progresses. Killzone 2 has an awesome cool story bro and it felt fresh to me unlike resistance 2 which got boring half way into it, I loved every gameplay aspect of Kz even the tacked on Motion sensing thingy to move the valves and set explosives on doors and gates, the aiming felt different at first but when I got used to the recoil from each gun and learn to fire precisely at moving targets it got awesome. I'll take my opinion over anybody Else's for this game, I always knew Killzone 2 would deliver and hush 3 years of hate.

I wouldn't call 2.6 million units sold a cult classic.

I don't equate sales to cult status. I realize that's how it works for lots of things but not me personally. The reason I consider Uncharted cult is because if you ask a normal gamer on the street what it is they most likely wouldn't know, but lots of PS3 gamers (who have played it) love it. It's a game that didn't sell extremely well at first, but had the legs to keep on selling like Valkyria Chronicles.

Wait, I clearly said Drake from uncharted made the witty remarks and that its story was kinda Sunday action moviesh. Make fun of me if you want, I still love Killzone 2 and btw, I never used the term "haters" :lol:, although the game was consistently hated for absolutely no reason.

Console standards, is it fair? No. The PC is left aside, but it has always been like that, it is common knowledge that critics judge game by console standards to judge overall technical graphics. Going by those standards, would you still say it doesnt?

i honestly think halo is over hyped. Cmon its just a good shooter, with alright graphics. I dont see why people think its the best, especially if you consider a game like Warhawk.

uncharted 2 is overhyped because it just had a good presentation at E3, and because it actually does look good. :P

the ps3 took the year of 08 with highly rated exclusives here and is taking 09 as well so far. So, what does the ps3 have besides U2? just look at 08-present and you'll see, and the icing is that the ps3 have a VERY nice looking future of games to look foward to, but nice try with this post:lol:

Superb gameplay, stellar graphics, top-notch presentation, a well-crafted story with memorable characters, epic musical score... and the reputation of Naughty Dog. It was by far the most decorated and highly-praised game at E3. That the first game received an 8.0 from Gamespot was, in my opinion, an atrocity. I'm not going to argue about whether the game should have been scored 9.0, 9.5, or 10, but I know that Uncharted: Drake's Fortune was an AAA caliber game if ever there were one. The first game, for having limited gameplay modes and a relatively short single-player campaign, boasted amazing replay value. The next game is looking to offer all of the amazing experience that was to be had in the first game and much, much, much more. I see it being GOTY, honestly.Jared2720

This, I could care less weather anyone hype's it or not. I loved playing Uncharted and looking forward to 2.

*Salutes mrarmyman48* Very nice observation there. Uncharted is anything but a good looking "shooter" (which is even the wrong DAMN genre shooters are lame for the most part compared with Uncharted)

Yeah, and 4 games is really nothing compared to the 50 console games that have amazing graphics.

Seriously, the only games that look decent on consoles are Killzone 2 and Uncharted 2.

Agreed, Now what can we do to change that? You were very vocal about GS giving the best graphics award to MGS4, in the end, Critics just did what they wanted back then and nothing will change that now. I know that Crysis Warhead deserved the award. They should really make themselves clear about using console standards and leave the PC outside of the picture, it'd make more sense. It has always been like that? So? Repetition of a mistake does not make it any less of a mistake.

Agreed, Now what can we do to change that? You were very vocal about GS giving the best graphics award to MGS4, in the end, Critics just did what they wanted back then and nothing will change that now. I know that Crysis Warhead deserved the award. They should really make themselves clear about using console standards and leave the PC outside of the picture, it'd make more sense. I know that it's never going to change. It's just frustrating that when a game website caters to console gamers as a method of attracting more hits, the sheep (not the wii fans) on this forum just slavishly cling to those awards, citing them furiously in the inevitable flood of "X CONSOLE GAME HAS BETTER GRAPHICS THAN ANY PC GAME" threads at the end of the year. They can't muster up any evidence besides "GAMESPOT SAID SO," but I guess that's enough for them.

Gamespot said that they rated the games according to the platform's standards, so a console game wouldn't need to have very good graphics to get graphics awards. Only fanboys will actually think that MGS4 has better graphics than Crysis.

Ehh...I think you're under estimating console games. I've got a GTX 275 and I've beaten Crysis, Crysis Warhead etc. on Very High w/ Natural Mod 2.0.2 but I'm still consistently blown away when I play Killzone 2.

Yes, and because everyone has the same opinion as you do, the creators decided to make a sequel. Cause everyone felt it was such a 'meh' game. Sarcasm aside, I played Uncharted 1 and liked the gameplay, graphics, characters, and story. Many others felt the same way, so why wouldn't they be excited for Uncharted 2? Answer your question?

I wouldn't say miles and miles beyond...Killzone 2 is pretty fantastic technically. Hundreds of individual light sources, per-object motion Blur and high res textures...A lot of PC games are simply poorly optimized, especially Crysis. Just because the game requires more powerful hardware to run, it doesn't mean it's more technically advanced. Please note that I'm not saying Killzone 2 is more advanced than Crysis, just that they're in the same ball park.

The first one was good the second looks to be even better. The Multiplayer is really good, the graphics are good, and a good campaign.

Agreed, and 10 Platinums? SERIOUSLY? I think i've got around 500 trophies, but no platinums. There's just always one or two trophies that are near impossible.

Thank you, :oops: I still don't have that many compared to many others on this board. They're not too hard, you just have to be determined to get them, you'll eventually get one, just keep trying :D.
