@Epak_: Ditto. Don't care for every single title having MP. There's plenty as is. Just let me customize the UI more, let me adjust the what's new screen.
Because Sony first party cares first and foremost about image quality and coop or mp centric games simply will not look as good as the movie games that cows love so much.
At the risk of sounding like a Cow, I think the whole premise of this thread couldn't be farther from the truth. When Sony revealed their multiplayer games for Morpheus, they took VR and multiplayer into a place neither have been before and that takes serious balls and vision.
I don't disagree with the OP for the sake of disagreement. I think their money and energy are being put somewhere we just haven't seen the returns on yet.
Your thread makes no sense. You are clearly referring to multiplayer, not "social" features. Either way, Sony has pushed for both. Bloodborne is a perfect example of a game that makes great use of social features and multiplayer. Driveclub is also another game that is heavily focused on community. LittleBigPlanet too. Also, Sony has designed the system around social even going as far as to include a share button on their controllers. One thing that Sony does far better than MS is having a wide variety of games. MS barely has any games that are single player focused while Sony has a nice balance of both.
Probably because they just don't have any talent to lead that department. The last time they tried something big, it ended up being the Playstation Home, which is now defunct and that just became a way for them to get virtual advertising instead of actual online experience. If you look at the PSN history, it clearly shows you that many of their online games are now dead. So it's really up to the individual developers now to lead the way with online since Sony seems to focus more on subscriptions.
